Dawhenya District Supports 71 Members with Business Seed Capital

The Dawhenya District of the The Church of Pentecost in the Tema Area has empowered seventy-one members with a total seed capital of GHS 93,701.00 to support and strengthen their small trading ventures.

The initiative, funded through the District’s 2025 District Week III programme, forms part of the Church’s Vision 2028 agenda and reflects a deliberate commitment to holistic ministry that integrates spiritual growth with economic empowerment.

The intervention was designed to move beyond financial assistance by serving as a strategic investment in the productive capacity and dignity of members. District leadership emphasised that the objective was to help beneficiaries launch, stabilise and expand viable business ventures, thereby promoting sustainable livelihoods and community impact. The programme reflects the District’s conviction that Christian ministry must address both spiritual and socio-economic needs of members.

Under the leadership of District Pastor Ps. Bright Amankwah, the Dawhenya District has consistently pursued a balanced approach to discipleship that promotes spiritual maturity alongside economic responsibility. The District reiterated its commitment to raising members who are spiritually grounded while remaining economically resilient and socially relevant.

To ensure transparency and responsible stewardship of church resources, an interview and vetting process was instituted to assess applicants. The selection of the first batch of 71 beneficiaries was based on clearly defined criteria, including genuine need, feasibility of proposed business ideas and demonstrated commitment to stewardship principles. This structured approach reflected the District’s determination to manage resources prudently while maximising kingdom and community impact.

In addition to the financial support, a one-day empowerment and capacity-building training programme was organised for beneficiaries. Participants were equipped with essential knowledge in basic business management, financial discipline and sustainability practices. The training aimed at ensuring that the seed capital would be effectively utilised and multiplied for long-term benefit.

The District expressed confidence that the initiative will contribute to improved household income levels, strengthen local economic activity and reduce financial dependency while supporting kingdom advancement and community development.

Apostle Johnny Peprah Urges Christians To Practise Excellent Tithing For Generational Blessings WEB.jpg

Apostle Johnny Peprah Urges Christians To Practise Excellent Tithing For Generational Blessings

An Assistant Registrar at Pentecost University, Apostle Johnny Lartey Peprah, has called on Christians to embrace a culture of excellent tithing, emphasising its spiritual significance and the enduring blessings it brings.

He delivered the message during a sermon themed “The Blessings of Excellent Tithing” at the PMKY Worship Centre at Kasoa on Sunday, February 15, 2025, drawing on Luke 18:18–30 and Mark 10:21-30.

Apostle Peprah noted that tithes and offerings form a crucial aspect of a believer’s relationship with God. Giving, he explained, should not be reduced to a mere financial transaction but understood as an act of obedience and devotion that deepens one’s walk with God. Faithful tithing, he said, demonstrates a heart fully surrendered to God.

He warned believers against placing their trust in material possessions, describing them as unreliable and temporary. Instead, he urged them to anchor their faith and hope in Jesus Christ, reminding them that trust in God remains firm even when life becomes uncertain.

Apostle Peprah stressed that God requires believers to offer their whole heart, soul, and mind to Him. He encouraged Christians to love their neighbours as themselves, calling this an essential expectation God has for His children.

Speaking on the rewards of obedience, he highlighted the certainty of both earthly and heavenly blessings for those who commit themselves faithfully to God’s instructions. Such blessings, he noted, are not fleeting but can extend to future generations, particularly for those who consistently pay their tithes and offerings.

He likened tithing to sowing seeds and entering into a covenant with God. Through this covenant, he said, divine blessings flow continually into the lives of believers and their descendants. Contributions made towards God’s work, he added, attract divine strength and grace to thrive.

Referencing the biblical principle of sowing and reaping, Apostle Peprah reiterated that generous givers will in turn reap generously. He emphasised that giving carries a greater blessing than receiving, describing God’s presence as the ultimate reward.

Encouraging spiritual growth, he challenged the congregation to go beyond the basic ten percent tithe. While acknowledging that the ten percent remains the foundation, he urged mature believers to give beyond that threshold, suggesting offerings of up to twenty-five percent as an expression of deeper faith and commitment.

He further urged Christians to give their tithes in holiness, faithfulness, and joy, assuring them that God is able to turn their situations around. Those who sow in tears, he reminded them, will surely reap in abundance.

Apostle Johnny Lartey Peprah concluded his sermon with a declaration of blessings over the congregation, affirming that excellent and faithful tithing unlocks lasting and generational blessings from God.

The service was hosted by the Resident Minister, Pastor Fred Amoakohene Sarpong, who also serves as a lecturer at Pentecost University.

Baptism & Infilling of the Holy Spirit Essential for Christian Empowerment — Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe web

Church Must Share Christ’s Love to Save a Dying World — Apostle Lare Banimpo Jules web

Church Must Share Christ’s Love to Save a Dying World — Apostle Lare Banimpo Jules

The National Head of The Church of Pentecost in Togo and Executive Council Member of the Church, Apostle Lare Banimpo Jules, has called on believers to actively demonstrate the love of Christ in a world he described as spiritually dying.

He delivered the message today [February 20, 2026] in a presentation titled “Sharing the Love of Christ with a Dying World” at the Conférence des Ministres et Épouses (CME-Francophone) held at the Palais des Congrès de Lomé.

Speaking on the fundamental mission of the Church, Apostle Jules referenced several Bible verses to emphasise that Christ’s example of seeking and saving the lost must guide the Church’s work today.

He stressed that the Church must intentionally and strategically deploy itself for evangelism, noting that every believer is an ambassador committed to the salvation of souls.

“The fundamental mission of the Church is the salvation of souls,” he emphasised, urging members to move beyond church buildings and engage society with the message of Christ’s love.

Apostle Banimpo challenged church leaders to lead by example in evangelism, stressing that effective ministry requires taking the gospel outside traditional church settings.

He warned against legalism and called on believers to serve Christ with compassion and purpose in order to bring light into darkness.

According to him, the relevance of the Church in today’s world depends on its obedience to its divine mandate of reaching the lost and transforming society through Kingdom values and principles.

He further described the Church as a roadmap for societal transformation, identifying the gospel, the Holy Spirit, and the Church itself as key agents in advancing God’s mission on earth.

The Togo National Head also highlighted the importance of Christian character, explaining that a believer’s lifestyle gives credibility to the message of the gospel.

“Our character is the strength of the gospel—it speaks louder than our words,” he noted, urging Christians to demonstrate righteousness and holiness as a testimony to others.

He emphasised that believers must not discriminate in evangelism, stressing that salvation is for all and that the Church must not decide who deserves to receive it.

Apostle Jules reiterated the Church’s vision of “Possessing the Nations,” explaining that this mission is fulfilled not through control or domination but through service and the love of Christ.

He encouraged believers not to fear darkness but to bring transformation by becoming agents of light in their communities.

“The Church must possess the nations—not by domination, but through the love of the Kingdom,” he stated, adding that only the gospel has the power to deliver humanity and rescue the world from spiritual condemnation.

He concluded by urging ministers and believers to faithfully proclaim Christ’s love, shepherd those entrusted to their care, and remain committed to spreading the gospel everywhere.

The CME-Francophone conference has brought together ministers and their spouses from French-speaking nations for spiritual renewal, leadership development, and mission advancement, with a strong emphasis on evangelism and societal transformation.

Faithfulness Is a Spiritual Force, Says Bishop Dr. Gordon Kisseh web

Faithfulness Is a Spiritual Force, Says Bishop Dr Gordon Kisseh

The Presiding Bishop of The Life International Church, Bishop Dr Gordon Kisseh, has described faithfulness as a powerful spiritual force that sustains the Christian life and reflects the very nature of God, urging believers to remain steadfast even when progress appears slow.

Speaking on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the 2026 Heads of Churches and Organisations Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Bishop Kisseh delivered a message on the topic “The Force of Faithfulness.” He likened the Christian life to a long-distance race, noting that spiritual growth is achieved through endurance, patience, and consistent obedience rather than instant results. He indicated that nothing of lasting value is attained suddenly and emphasised that believers must remain committed over time.

Bishop Kisseh explained that faithfulness is an active expression of God’s glory, reflecting His holiness, righteousness, and faithfulness. He noted that God often entrusts people with small responsibilities before assigning greater ones, and encouraged Christians to embrace humble beginnings while keeping a vision for greater impact.

He also cautioned that betrayal, greed, and distractions can undermine faithfulness. Even when wronged, believers are called to continue being faithful, because faithfulness is ultimately directed toward God and not men.

Drawing from Hebrews 3:1–6, Bishop Kisseh described faithfulness as a process, a fruit of the Spirit cultivated over time, and not a gift received overnight. He reminded participants that setbacks do not cancel God’s work and urged them to trust that, in His timing, God will accomplish His purposes through them.

Bishop Kisseh underscored the responsibility of obedience, noting that God does not perform by miracle what He expects believers to do through faithful action. He encouraged Christians to remain steadfast as they partner with God in fulfilling His purposes.

Pentecost Preparatory Honours Late Mrs Agatha Amoah with Academic Block web.jpg

Pentecost Preparatory Honours Late Mrs Agatha Amoah with Academic Block

An academic block at the Pentecost Preparatory School in Madina has been named in honour of the late Mrs Agatha Amoah, a pioneer of the institution and wife of former General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired).

The dedication took place during a short but significant ceremony held at the school premises on Wednesday January 28,2025.

Pentecost Preparatory School was founded in 1985 as Arm of the Lord by then Mr Albert Amoah and his wife, the late Mrs Agatha Amoah. The establishment of the school was inspired by a vision God placed in the heart of Mrs Amoah, which later grew into a fully functioning educational institution.

In 1994, the school was donated to The Church of Pentecost after two unsuccessful attempts by the couple to hand it over to new management. This decision was necessitated by their increasing responsibilities in full-time ministry, as Apostle Amoah became actively engaged in pastoral duties.

Speaking at the naming ceremony, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired) described the school as “a seed of thought planted in the mind of my late wife many years ago,” noting that what began as a simple vision has today become a lasting legacy impacting generations of children.

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, who also addressed the gathering, urged Christians and leaders to live purpose-driven lives that leave enduring legacies for future generations. He emphasised that great achievements often begin as small ideas.

“Everything starts like a seed,” he said, “but when it is well looked after and watered, it grows into something positive.”

Apostle Obuobi further encouraged resilience in the face of opposition and challenges, drawing lessons from the perseverance of Apostle Amoah and his late wife, who faced significant resistance during the early years of the school’s operations.

Touching on the importance of memorials, he referenced Joshua 4:1–6, explaining that God instructed the Israelites to set up a memorial of stones as a reminder of His intervention when the River Jordan parted. According to him, such memorials serve as reminders of God’s faithfulness and human obedience.

In a related announcement, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired) unveiled the establishment of the Agatha Amoah Excellence Award, which will be presented to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, with a special focus on excellence in English Literature.

Apostle Dr Nyamekye Entreats Believers To Trust In The Spirit’s Power web

Apostle Dr Nyamekye Entreats Believers To Trust In The Spirit’s Power

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, has stated that while the incomprehensibility of God may be difficult to grasp, the answer to life’s challenges has always been the abiding presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Speaking at the Officers’ Retreat for officers in Kumasi on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Asokwa Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Kumasi, on the theme: “The Holy Spirit Shall Come Upon You and the Power of the Most High Will Overshadow You” (Luke 1:29–38), Apostle Dr Nyamekye encouraged believers to cultivate steadfast faith, stressing that officers of the church must exemplify strong faith to inspire members in fulfilling God’s purpose.

Expounding on the angel Gabriel’s annunciation to Mary, Apostle Dr Nyamekye noted that her question, “How will this be?” reflected the natural human concern with practicalities. Yet, he said, the divine response was clear: with God, all things are possible.

“You may not be able to figure out how it is going to happen or how the situation will be turned around, but there is abundant evidence that what God has said, He will do,” he declared.

He cautioned against the tendency to complain, which he described as a distraction from receiving from God. Citing the man at the pool of Bethesda, who lamented his 38 years of infirmity when asked by Jesus if he wished to be healed, Apostle Dr Nyamekye said: “The answer has always been the same – the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”

The Chairman further warned believers to be discerning about what they hear, as hearing shapes conduct, faith, or fear, saying, “Both faith and fear come by hearing. Fear paralyses, but faith quickens and revives.”

Illustrating with the story of Jairus in Mark 5:21–23, Apostle Dr Nyamekye explained how the report of his daughter’s death could have extinguished faith, yet Jesus’ presence brought life. He urged Christians not to be swayed by discouraging voices but to build faith through God’s word.

“There are many voices in this world – the devil speaks, people speak, our own spirit speaks, and God also speaks. No matter how reasonable a voice may sound, consider its source and content carefully,” he advised.

Apostle Dr Nyamekye concluded by admonishing the gathering not to be enslaved by fear but to strengthen their faith through right hearing, thereby deepening their connection with God for effective Kingdom work.

Be Aggressive In Your Pursuit Of The Holy Spirit – Pastor Yeboah To Youth

The Resident Minister of PENSA at the University of Ghana Campus, Pastor Fedalis Yeboah, has urged young Christians to be intentional and fervent in seeking the Holy Spirit, stressing that life becomes frustrating without the power of God’s Spirit.

According to him, life’s purpose is only truly meaningful when one walks fully in the Spirit without gratifying the desires of the flesh. Therefore, seeking the Spirit’s power should be a top priority for every believer seeking transformation.

Speaking on the theme, “Generating Power through Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Infilling” with reference to Acts 1:4–8, during the Friday morning session of the 2026 PENSA Ghana Conference at the KNUST Campus, Pastor Yeboah explained that receiving power from God enables believers to witness the Gospel boldly, regardless of circumstances, because divine backing is assured when proclaiming the Good News.

Using an electrical device as an analogy, he illustrated that just as a gadget requires a consistent power source to charge its battery and function effectively, so does life. Without power, life becomes frustrating.

“A phone or laptop battery must be charged by a power source to perform its duties, just like a car that relies on fuel to operate,” he said.
“Without the source, these devices are useless—and that is what life is like. Young people must understand that it takes power to fulfil one’s purpose and make a meaningful impact on society,” he added.

He challenged the congregation to move beyond merely having the Holy Spirit dwell within them after accepting Christ, and instead allow the Spirit to become the owner and overseer of their lives through baptism in the Spirit.

“The Holy Spirit dwelling in you is a seal that makes you a member of His Body. He resides in you—but until He moves from tenancy to presidency, you will remain an ordinary, frustrated Christian,” he stated.

Pastor Yeboah further advised the gathering not to rely solely on books but to urgently and aggressively pursue the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Him, holiness is demonstrated, boldness is secured, and the gifts and fruits of the Spirit are manifested for transformation.

Addressing misconceptions about the existence and operations of the Holy Spirit, the University of Ghana Campus PENSA Pastor clarified that although counterfeits and false spirits may attempt to imitate the workings of God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit is real and given by God for the edification of the Church and empowerment of believers.
