Jesus Gives Life In Absolute Abundance – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin

The Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, has emphasized that an encounter with Jesus Christ does not only transform one’s earthly existence but also secures an eternal destiny.

He said this when he preached on the theme: “Jesus, The Giver of Life,” to a large and expectant congregation at the Cape Coast Jubilee Park last Tuesday night.

Citing John 10:10, he declared, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; but I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”

He explained that when Jesus steps into a person’s life, their destiny is irrevocably changed for good.

Apostle Markin reassured the audience that no one is beyond the reach of Christ’s love and saving grace.

Drawing from Luke 19:10, he stated, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

He stressed that regardless of one’s background, status, or past failures, Jesus has been seeking them with relentless love.

“Jesus is the one who takes the most overlooked and insignificant person in society, restores them, and brings them back to royalty. He is the one who revives broken souls, renews shattered hopes, and restores life to its divine purpose when surrendered to His rule,” he proclaimed.

Apostle Markin further emphasized that Jesus not only saves but delivers the soul from destruction and grants an abundant life filled with divine purpose and eternal security (Psalm 103:4).

He reassured all in attendance that Jesus is the answer to life’s uncertainties and struggles and urged them to surrender fully to Him.

“Are you wandering in doubt and questioning your worth? We have come to tell you that Jesus is the answer! If you permit Him, He will reshape your life and give it meaning beyond your imagination,” he declared.

Referencing Matthew 14:17-21, the miracle of Jesus feeding the five thousand, Apostle Markin illustrated how God is able to take the little we have, bless it, and turn it into abundance when placed in His hands.

He encouraged believers not to underestimate what they have but to trust God to multiply it for His glory.

Concluding his message, Apostle Markin made a passionate call to all gathered, declaring that Jesus Christ is the only accredited and legitimate source of abundant life.

“If you give Him space in your life, He will bring order to your chaos. If you avail yourself to Him, He will turn your mess into a message of transformation. Jesus is ready to release His abundant life to anyone who seeks Him diligently,” he affirmed.

At the end of the ministration, a heartfelt altar call was made, inviting all those who desired to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.

In response to this divine invitation, a total of 129 individuals stepped forward, publicly declaring their faith and submitting to the lordship of Christ.

As a testament to their newfound commitment, 60 of them underwent water baptism, symbolizing their spiritual rebirth and entrance into the family of God.

To the glory of God, 18 individuals received Holy Spirit baptism.

Life-Saving Intervention: How COP Medical Team Saved Mother, Baby

On December 28, 2024, a remarkable act of compassion and medical intervention took place in Amedzrovi, a remote village in the Yapei Kusawgu District of Ghana’s Savannah Region.

During the medical outreach organised by the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, a young mother and her newborn were saved from a life-threatening situation.

The young mother, identified as Adjo James Adator, faced severe complications after giving birth on her way to the clinic. She was being transported on a motor tricycle but had to return home due to the distance and the urgency of the situation.

Shortly after delivery, she experienced severe postpartum hemorrhaging. With no ambulance available and the nearest health facility over an hour and a half away, the situation was critical.

Providentially, the Church’s medical outreach team was in the village conducting a film evangelism programme. The team, led by Elder Dr Ken Aboah, was alerted about the emergency situation at  about 10:30 PM. Upon arriving at the scene, the mother was found in hemorrhagic shock with a dangerously low blood pressure of 77/35 mmHg and a rapid pulse of 121 beats per minute.

Despite limited resources, the dedicated team, comprising five medical doctors, an anesthetist, a midwife, and a neonatal specialist, worked tirelessly to stabilise both the mother and baby. After providing initial care, the team transported the mother to Yapei Polyclinic in their bus.

At the clinic, the team collaborated with the facility’s staff to address the complications, including a cervical tear and retained products of conception. The mother was severely anemic with a hemoglobin level of 8.5.

Dr Aboah personally intervened to secure a unit of blood for her transfusion,  while the team paid her medical expenses, donated GH₵500.00 to her, and provided a full piece of cloth to her family.

The baby, cared for by the neonatal specialist, was also stabilised, ensuring the safety of both mother and child.

Reflecting on the experience, Dr Aboah remarked, ‘It was truly the hand of God at work. Every member of the team played a vital role, and we are grateful to have been there to save her life.’

The outreach also yielded spiritual fruits, as the team ministered the gospel to the community, leading to the salvation of 93 people – 42 adults, 51 children, and five Fulani individuals – accepting Christ.
