The Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost has held a mammoth prayer festival in appreciation of God’s faithfulness and kindness towards the church.
The prayer festival, which was held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the L. A. Nyarko Memorial Sanctuary in Suhum, was attended by ministers in the Area, church officers and members. The 1500 capacity auditorium was fully packed as the members came in their numbers to experience the favour and glory of God.
In a sermon, the Area Head, Apostle Anthony Eghan Kwesi Ekuban, advised Christians to always desire the glory of God in their lives.
Speaking on the topic, “The Glory of God” with Bible texts from Ephesians 3:21, Apostle Ekuban asserted that the glory of God in the life of Christians make them overcomers of the devil and his schemes. “Only God deserves all the glory and when you encounter His glory, you become untouchable,” he said.
Apostle Ekuban explained that the glory of God brings honour and power in the life of the believer.
The Suhum Area Head posited that the glory of God brings supernatural transformation which makes people fear God and avoid living in sin.
He expounded that the glory of God has to be manifested in all areas such as marriage and family life, education and business. “The glory of God brings about the difference,” he noted.
Concluding the sermon, Apostle Ekuban said that it was the same glory of God that led the Israelites in the day as a pillar of cloud to guide them from their enemies and in the night, as a pillar of fire to give them light.
He, therefore, urged Christians to always desire the glory of God in all their endeavours.
The Area Music Committee Chairman, Pastor Peter Narh of Sekyere District, took the congregation through the 2020 theme songs.
