The Saboba District of The Church of Pentecost in the Yendi Area has reached out to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Saboba municipality.
Over 160 PWDs from the Ghana Blind Union, the Society for the Physically Challenged and the Ghana National Association for the Deaf took part in the dinner which was held on 14th December 2019.
The purpose of the meeting was to interact with the PWDs in the municipality and to also have fellowship with them by sharing meals together. It was the first time a church in the municipality has shared fellowship with the PWDs in the area. The excited PWDs were thankful to God that the church had remembered them during the Christmas season.
The Yendi Area Head, Pastor Emmanuel Kojo Aidoo, in a short address, said that reaching out to the PWDs was in line with the vision of the church to possess the nations. He added that Jesus Christ died for all including PWDs and, therefore, they deserve the love of Christ.
Pastor Peter Kwao of Yendi District who delivered the sermon mentioned that eternal life, which is in Jesus Christ, is given to all, including PWDs. 27 PWDs gave their lives to Christ, whilst 54 of them re-dedicated their lives to Christ.
The host minister, Probationary Overseer Martin Ossom Boafo, thanked the leadership of the PWD associations for honouring the invitation of the church.
