The Bogoso Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Onyinah Gyamfi, on July 17, 2020, dedicated the newly-built mission house for the Prestea District. The 5-bedroom facility was constructed at the cost of GH¢293,508.55.
The Area Head was assisted by the District Minister, Pastor Emmanuel K. Ofori, and the pastorate in the Area.
The old district mission house, which has undergone several renovations, has housed more than 20 pastors and their families since it was acquired about 60 years ago. It became necessary to build a new mission house because the old one has almost become a death trap. The whole place becomes flooded anytime it rains.
The sod-cutting ceremony to start the new project was performed by the immediate past Area Head, Prophet E. K. Appiah, on July 19, 2019, assisted by Pastor E. K. Ofori.
On assumption of office, Apostle Onyinah Gymafi made a significant input by releasing AIDF grant to the tune of GH¢134,000 to complete the project.
Apostle Onyinah Gyamfi was impressed that the magnificent mission house has been completed in a year, adding that the Lord has been gracious to the district.
Speaking at the service on the topic, “Do all things to Glorify God,” based on 1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:23-24; Genesis 11:1-4, Pastor Ntiamoah of Wassa Akropong District, admonished Christians to ensure that whatever they do brings glory to God and not to themselves.
He urged believers to praise God at all times (Psalm 63:3), have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5), dress modestly, and be careful about what they eat and drink. He also said that music and dancing, work, giving, studies, and interpersonal relationship could be used to glorify God.
Present to grace the occasion were the wife of the Area Head, Mrs Martha Onyinah Gyamfi, Nana Duku Mienzah (Prestea-Bolatkyir Odikro), Nana Owusu Bediako, and Nana Nyameke Polley.
