The faithfulness of God has once again been demonstrated in the lives of Elder Abraham Konlan and his wife, Deaconess Cecilia Konlan of the Adonikrom Assembly in the New Yakasi District of the Asankrangwa Area of The Church of Pentecost, who have welcomed their first child after 20 years of marriage.

The couple, who solemnised their marriage on February 19, 2006, had waited two decades for the fruit of the womb despite undergoing several medical examinations and treatments. According to them, doctors consistently confirmed that both were medically healthy and capable of having children, yet conception remained elusive.

Beyond the medical journey, they also endured years of emotional pain, ridicule, and insensitive comments from some relatives and members of their community. However, they remained steadfast in their faith and continued serving God faithfully in the Church.

Their breakthrough came during the 2025 Christmas Convention of The Church of Pentecost when Elder Konlan said he heard a distinct voice in his spirit declaring, “Elder, the time is up.”

Shortly afterwards, during a Throne of Grace prayer meeting where couples trusting God for children were invited for special prayers, Elder Konlan responded in faith, believing that God was about to intervene.

Not long after the prayer session, he noticed changes in his wife’s condition and encouraged her to take a pregnancy test. The initial test at a CHPS compound returned positive. A subsequent examination at the Enchi Government Hospital confirmed that Deaconess Cecilia Konlan was pregnant.

The couple shared the joyous news with their District Minister, who encouraged them to remain confident in the Lord, assuring them that the God who had begun the good work would bring it to completion.

Despite experiencing some challenges during the pregnancy, God sustained both mother and child throughout the period.

The couple safely welcomed a healthy baby girl, bringing an end to 20 years of waiting and transforming their sorrow into joy.

Their testimony stands as a powerful reminder that God’s promises never fail and that His timing is always perfect. It also serves as an encouragement to believers to remain steadfast in faith, knowing that seasons of delay are not necessarily seasons of denial.

With hearts full of gratitude, Elder Abraham and Deaconess Cecilia Konlan give all glory to God for what they describe as His miraculous intervention in their lives.
