PENSA Pentecost University has inaugurated its first Teens Ministry to provide a dedicated platform for nurturing, discipling and equipping teenagers in their Christian faith.
The ministry was inaugurated on Sunday, September 20, 2026, under the auspices of the Campus Pastor, Rev. Dr. Patrick Adonoo, and handed over to the PENSA Discipleship Programme (PDP) Department for further nurturing and guidance.
The initiative was birthed during the celebration of the PENSA Pentecost University Sunday School Children’s Day, when five children who had attained age 13 were identified for graduation into a teen service, in line with the practice in local assemblies of The Church of Pentecost.
The establishment of the ministry is expected to provide a structured environment where teenagers can deepen their understanding of the Christian faith, develop their God-given talents and receive guidance in navigating the challenges associated with adolescence.
The inauguration also highlighted the contribution of PENSA Pentecost University students who serve as Sunday School teachers. Their continued commitment to teaching and caring for the children played a significant role in nurturing them to the stage where the Teens Ministry could be established.
With the ministry now formally established, the PDP Department, together with local leaders, patrons and volunteers, is expected to facilitate activities and programmes focused on discipleship, mentorship and the spiritual development of the teenagers.
The initiative forms part of efforts to prepare young people to become responsible Christian leaders who can positively influence the university community, Sowutuom and beyond.
