The Youth Ministry of the Offinso Koforidua District of The Church of Pentecost has launched a consultative forum for Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) leavers who sat for the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) respectively.

The forum which was launched on June 23, 2019, seeks to provide the platform for interaction, prayer, counselling and career guidance for the school leavers as they wait for their results.

The District Secretary of the Church, Elder Isaac Offeh, in a speech stated that the programme was an intervention to empower and guide the youth to make good career and life choices as they await their results.

Speaking on a topic, “Managing the Seasons of Life” with Ecclesiastics 3:1-8 and John 9:4 as anchor texts, the District Minister, Pastor Joseph Owusu Boateng, said seasons and times are the stages in a person’s life marked by a set of opportunities and challenges.

“Your ability to maximise opportunities and overcome the challenges of a season, sufficiently prepares you for the next season in life,” he added.

Pastor Boateng advised them to use their time profitably and stay away from vices such as amorous relationships, revelling, loitering aimlessly, and illicit drugs as they wait for their results.

The monthly consultative forum would include activities such as learning of basic computing skills, bead making, prayer, and counselling.
