Mpasaso District Climaxes 40 Days Prayers

The Mpasaso District of The Church of Pentecost has climaxed its 40 days of prayers and fasting with 47 souls won and 29 water baptisms, while many received Holy Ghost baptism and healing.

The programme, led by the District Minister, Overseer Emmanuel Owusu, was organised to allow the members to pray fervently regarding Vision 2028 and the theme for 2024.

The event, which was under the theme, “Unleashed To Take Territories As A People Of God” (1 Peter 2:9, Acts 1:8) which took place from January 10 to February 18, 2024, formed part of the District’s First Week-long celebration, dubbed “Unleashed By Prayer 2024.”

The speakers for the programme included Pastor Samuel Amoako Agyapong of Achiase District, Elder Samuel Coffie of Sokoban District and other elders in Mpasaso District. These were a few of the subjects they covered: ”A people of God unleashed,” God’s people unleashed to conquer territories,” and “Unleashed to bring transformation.”

More than 650 members (adults and children) and over 50 non-members from the community attended the event.

The event featured seasoned musicians such as Elder Carlos Coffie, Brother Godfred Boateng, and the district choir.

During the climax session on Sunday, February 18, Overseer Hensley Agyare-Darfour, Abonsuaso District Minister, speaking on the topic: “Unleashed to bring transformation” (1 Peter 2:9, Acts 1:8), urged believers to be light and salt in every endeavour of their life, especially in their communities to transform their spheres.

He explained that Christians have been baptised with power from on high to do exploits in their communities, saying, “The power and authority Christians have received are to bring change and transformation into their family, workplace, schools and extensively their community.”

After the programme, the members have been strengthened and deepened in their relationship with the Lord and are poised to transform their world with the values and principles of the kingdom of God. This was achieved through continuous nights of prayer, days of fasting and Holy Ghost empowerment.
