Leadership Of Redeemed Christian Church Of God Graces MWC’20

The Assistant General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, has acknowledged the tremendous growth of The Church of Pentecost (COP) as an indigenous Pentecostal church which has become a torchbearer from the African continent to the world.

Pastor Odeyemi made this assertion when he delivered a fraternal message at the ongoing 7th Ministers and Wives’ Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa on Friday, January 24, 2020.

“I acknowledge the fact that God has helped The Church of Pentecost over the years and I know without any doubt that there are things RCCG and COP can learn from each other to fully conquer Africa and the whole world,” he said, adding, “The growth of the church is a testimony to the power of Pentecost and to what God can do with an indigenous church.”

Pastor Odeyemi led a high-powered delegation, including Pastor Dr Babatunde Adedibu (Provost of the Redeemed Christian Bible College) from the RCCG General Headquarters in Nigeria to the conference.

He explained that the RCCG and the COP are considering the possibilities for collaboration and affiliation in the areas of theological education.

“We are looking at how to collaborate in the areas of theological education as two indigenous churches and as African Pentecostal Theologians to impact not only Africa but the whole world,” he said and cited Psalm 133 to buttress his statement.

Welcoming the RCCG Assistant General Overseer to the conference, the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, expressed his delight about the historic visit which, according to him, is positive in building the body of Christ.

The Chairman acknowledged the great work done by his predecessor, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah (Rtd.), and the Director of the School of Theology, Mission and Leadership (STML), Apostle Dr Emmanuel Anim, who explored the possibilities of establishing the ecumenical affiliation with the RCCG, which, he said, is one of the biggest churches in Africa and the world at large.

On behalf of the Chairman and the leadership of the church, Apostle Ekow Badu Wood (Kasoa Area Head) prayed for the RCCG for God’s continuous blessings and impact.

The RCCG is an indigenous church founded in 1952 and headquartered in Nigeria. It has its presence in 198 nations and about 40,000 branches in Nigeria with Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye as its General Overseer. The church has a total membership of 28 million worldwide.
