Kwabena Num Assembly Church Building Dedicated

Apostle Gideon Obeng-Darko Debrah, the Kintampo Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, on Friday, May 19, 2022, dedicated the church building of the Kwabena Num Assembly in the Ntankoro District.

The church building project was financed through the Community Based Church Building (CBCB) initiative of The Church of Pentecost Headquarters.

Explaining the CBCB concept to the congregants, Apostle Debrah said that the CBCB policy is the disbursement of monthly grants by the Headquarters to various Areas of the Church for the sole purpose of constructing church buildings in deprived communities.

He explained that the policy aims at providing suitable places of worship for members of the church.

The Area Head applauded the leadership of the Church for this wonderful initiative that has provided appropriate church buildings for many local churches that were previously fellowshipping under trees or in temporary structures.

Overseer Philip Osei Agyeman, the Mpaha District Minister, in a sermon at the event, admonished all and sundry to make evangelism a lifestyle since it is a key tool in “possessing the nations” for Christ.

Using Genesis 4:9 and Acts 1:8 as Bible references and speaking on the topic, “The Holy Spirit, the Equipper of the Army of God for Evangelism,” Overseer Agyeman asserted that the Holy Spirit’s empowerment factor cannot be relegated in the “possessing the nations” agenda.

According to him, the Holy Spirit equips and empowers all believers to do greater works, and without Him, all human actions would amount to nothing.

Highlighting some benefits of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, the Mpaha District Minister said that He (Holy Spirit) empowers believers for effective evangelism, serves as an advocate, and enables believers to live a life of holiness, faithfulness and integrity.

He admonished Christians to see evangelism as a great mandate handed over to them by the Lord Jesus Christ, which must be done with all seriousness.

The Ntankoro District Minister, Pastor Samuel Katakyie Ware, expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the Church and the Area Head for this noble initiative. He said the church building would go a long way to revive the church in Kwabena Num township.

The Chief of Kwabena Num, Nana Kofi Asirifi, who was also present at the event, seized the opportunity to advise the community members to develop a genuine love for Christ and eschew behaviours that do not bring glory to God.

He advised them to be punctual to church services and ensure that the beautiful edifice is always in good condition.

Also in attendance were some ministers and their spouses in the Kintampo Area as well as officers and members of the Ntankoro District.
