Nyakrom Church Building

Glory Temple Dedicated In Nyakrom District

The International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo, on Friday, August 16, 2019, dedicated the Glory Temple (the Central Assembly auditorium) of the Nyakrom District in the Agona Swedru Area.

The grand edifice which has a main auditorium for worship, washrooms, offices and children’s auditorium, among others, was constructed at the cost of GH¢ 683,507.50.

Assisting the IMD in dedicating the building were Prophet David Kankam (Swedru Area Head), Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi (Cape Coast Area Head), Apostle Lt. Colonel Kumi-Woode (Ghana Armed Forces), Apostle Matthew Larbi Wettey (Tema Area Head), Apostle James Nana Ofori (Mankessim Area Head), Apostle Samuel Kojo Gakpetor (Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Head), Apostle Samuel Nana Adjei (PCC Manager), Pastor Samuel Agyekum Frimpong (Nyakrom District Minister) and other.

Also present to grace the occasion were Hon. Cynthia Morrison (MP of Agona West), Nana Okofo Katakyi Nyarkoh Eku (X), the Omanhene, Ebusuapanyin Kobina Atta and traditional leaders of Nyakrom Traditional Council.

The Agona Nyakrom District was created in the early 1950s. The project was initiated by the former District Minister, Pastor Sampson Yaw Ansong. Actual construction began in March 2013 after sod cutting by Apostle D. Y. Asare (the former Area Head who is now retired).

Pastor Samuel Agyekum Frimpong, after his assumption of office in 2016, continued with the project in earnest.

Delivering the sermon at the service on the topic, “The Glory of God will make the Difference” with Haggai 2:7-9, Exodus 29:43-45 as his main scriptures, Apostle Matthew Wettey Larbi said a building for God’s work is of paramount importance to believers.

“The church building is for worshipping God and not a market place or any other thing. The church is built for the fulfilment of God’s glory. Therefore, anyone who lifts up a prayer to God in this building will be answered and every problem or challenge will be solved in the house of God,” he said.

Explaining the essence of the glory of God, the Tema Area Head stated: “The glory of God portrays how big and great God is. When the glory of God comes, it brings salvation, healing, freedom, life, peace and favour. Everywhere the name of God is mentioned, there is the glory of God.”

He asserted that anyone who entered the Glory Temple would experience the glory of God and would be saved from all problems because the building is filled with the glory of God.

“The glory of God is Jesus Christ. Therefore, we having the glory of God in us, we are free and saved,” he added.
