The Ho Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, has encouraged children not to be afraid of the future, assuring them that God has a great purpose for their lives.
He gave the assurance during the 2026 National Children’s Ministry Week climax service held at the PIWC-Ho on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Addressing the children, Apostle Kwafo encouraged them to remain hopeful about their future, stressing that they would grow into professionals who would make meaningful contributions to the Church and society. “Don’t be scared about the future. It will be well with you. Better professionals will come out of you. You will not die,” he said.
He noted that although some parents were concerned about the future of their children, the Church had a responsibility to nurture and prepare the younger generation to remain rooted in Christ. “Some parents are frustrated about the future. They think that the children will mess up in future. I assure you that you will remain in the Church with a better future,” he said.
According to him, children represented one of the most important investments the Church could make for its future. “If there is any investment we have to make as a Church, it is the children,” he stated.
Apostle Kwafo also challenged parents to desire that their children would surpass them in character, achievements and spiritual growth. “A parent who doesn’t want the child to be better than them has a challenge. Your children should always be better than their parents,” he said, adding that the future of The Church of Pentecost should be greater than its past.
He further encouraged the children to see themselves as future agents of transformation, particularly in addressing challenges confronting Ghana and the African continent. “The glory of the Church and the nation is in you. You are the ones that will drive corruption from Africa and give Ghana hope. It will be well with you,” he told them.
The colourful climax service featured various activities by the children, who participated in presentations and Scripture-based activities as they celebrated God and demonstrated their understanding of the Word.
The 2026 National Children’s Ministry Week climax at PIWC-Ho brought together children, parents, church leaders and other members of the congregation to celebrate the ministry and highlight the important role of children in the future of the Church.
