Apostle Agyapong Advises Youth To Prioritise Spiritual Well-Being

The Minister-in-Charge of the e-Church of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Ebenezer Agyapong, has underscored the unparalleled value of the human soul and the need to prioritise spiritual well-being over worldly pursuits.

In a sermon he delivered on Saturday, January 4, 2025, titled: ‘Unleashed to Save the Never-Dying Soul,’ at the University for Development Studies in Tamale during the PENSA Ghana Conference, Apostle Agyapong posed a thought-provoking question: ‘For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?’

He explained that while people often invest considerable effort in enhancing their physical appearance, the body is transient and perishable. In contrast, the soul is immortal and eternal, warranting greater attention and care.

Referencing 1 John 2:15-17, he reminded believers that worldly desires are fleeting, saying, ‘The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.’

The e-Church Minister underscored that the soul’s value is further evidenced by the lengths to which both God and the devil go to claim it.

He stated: ‘The value of the soul is measured by the person found worthy to redeem it and by the devil’s interest in it.’

He also warned of the severe consequences of neglecting one’s soul, citing Hebrews 9:27: ‘And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.’

Apostle Agyapong urged believers to focus on the imperishable nature of the soul and to share the gospel diligently to prevent others from facing eternal loss.

He concluded with a call to action from Romans 1:16: ‘Do not allow others to go to hell; share the gospel with them so that they will be saved.’

Align Your Life With The Righteous Call Of God – Apostle Hagan Urges Youth

The Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Ebenezer Hagan, has urged Christian youth to align their lives with the holy and righteous call of God, emphasising that this is not just a duty but a sacred responsibility.

‘Lead a life worthy of the calling you have received,’ Apostle Hagan declared when speaking at the Cape Coast Centre held at the University of Coast on the Day 2 of the PENSA Ghana Conference.

Drawing inspiration from Ephesians 4:1-3, he noted that ‘walking in your calling’ means living a life that reflects faith, righteousness, and the virtues of the Kingdom of God. According to him, walking the calling requires a transformation of attitude, perseverance rooted in faith, and a commitment to live with eternal rewards in view.

The Youth Director reminded the youth that righteousness, as a gift from God, must be evident in every aspect of a believer’s life, not just in outward expressions but through an inner transformation that inspires others and honours God.

He highlighted that rewards serve as both motivation and recognition for the believer’s faithfulness. These rewards, both temporal and eternal, ‘encourage us to stay committed to God’s work and trust in His promises. They acknowledge the sacrifices, efforts, and contributions made to build God’s Kingdom and ultimately bring believers joy and honour in God’s presence.’

‘Your calling demands a walk of faith, extraordinary commitment, and a life of obedience and sacrifice,’ he stated.

Apostle Hagan reminded the audience that their service to God should stand out in both quantity and quality, as this is the basis for the rewards they will receive in Heaven.

The message concluded with a solemn call to action: ‘Lead a life worthy of the calling you have received. As 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds us, ‘Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.’

The session ended with intense prayers, leaving participants deeply inspired to remain steadfast in their calling, keeping eternity in view, and trusting that God will reward their faithfulness.

Pursuing Your Calling Requires Academic Excellence – Elder Prof. Appau Asante Advices

Persuing One’s Calling Necessitates A Commitment To Excellence – Elder Prof. Appau Asante Advices

An Associate Professor of Educational Innovations at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Deputy Director of the Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, Elder Professor Eric Appau Asante, has hinted that pursuing one’s calling necessitates a commitment to excellence, which should be evident throughout their educational journey.

Delivering a sermon titled, ‘Excelling in Your Academic, Professional, and Career Life,’ on Saturday, January 4, 2025, during the ongoing PENSA Ghana Conference 2025 at the University for Development Studies in Tamale, he revealed that a godly life must radiate excellence, adding, ‘Achieving academic success requires diligence, divine grace, and hard work.’

He advised students to avoid studying in bed, noting that it can lead to relaxation and sleepiness, thereby hindering academic performance.

Prof. Asante also cautioned against last-minute studying and underscored the importance of regular class attendance, effective time management, and choosing friends who are dedicated both to their faith and studies.

The Deputy Youth Director encouraged students to utilise libraries, participate in conferences and seminars, and take on leadership roles to enhance their academic excellence.

‘Serving God is not magic; it is practical,’ he remarked, urging intentional efforts in all endeavours.

76 PENSA Ghana Conference Participants Receive Holy Spirit Baptism At KNUST

A powerful move of the Holy Spirit was witnessed at the KNUST satellite centre during the Friday evening session of the PENSA Ghana Conference 2025, as 76 participants were baptised in the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues.

The divine encounter occurred during a visit by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, who ministered on the topic, ‘Speaking in Tongues: A Divine Means of Spiritual Edification.’

In his message, Apostle Nyamekye emphasised the mystery and significance of speaking in tongues, stating that it is an act of spiritual edification that cannot be fully explained or understood.

Reading from 1 Corinthians 14:4, he stated: ‘He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself, builds himself up, or charges himself up.’

He likened speaking in tongues to charging a battery, indicating that as believers pray in the Spirit, they are spiritually strengthened and empowered.

‘Just as we charge the batteries of our devices for daily use, every believer must roar in the Spirit when we wake up each morning to edify and charge ourselves for the day ahead,’ he encouraged.

At the end of his message, Apostle Nyamekye invited participants who had not yet received the gift of speaking in tongues to come forward for prayer, leading to 76 of them receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Nyamekye cautioned the youth that speaking in tongues is not the ultimate goal. He, therefore, urged believers to go deeper in their relationship with God, building themselves up through prayer, fasting, and waiting on the Lord. He encouraged them to draw from the deep wells of the Spirit to grow in spiritual wisdom, maturity, and understanding.

PENSA Ghana Conference Commences Across Four Centres In Ghana

The 2025 session of the annual PENSA Ghana Conference has commenced across four centres in Ghana.

The conference, which was officially opened on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, which is the main centre, also had satellite centres at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the Central Region, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi and the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

Delivering the opening address at the PCC, the immediate past Patron of the Youth Ministry and Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Committee Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, indicated that God, through the PENSA conferences which started in 1980, has raised a lot of key leaders and ministers for The Church of Pentecost, and is still doing so.

He was optimistic that God, through His word and other activities designed for the conference, will raise young men and women who will practice Christianity and walk the Bible.

This, he believed, will help contribute to the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda of the church. He, therefore, called on all participants not to just be observers but to allow God to impact them, just like the many who have attended such conferences and have become great.

The Youth Director, Apostle Ebenezer Hagan, in his address mentioned that the life of the believer must preach what the Bible preaches, hence the theme for the conference, ‘Walk the Calling.’ According to him, the theme is a clarion call to Christians, especially the youth to leave a holy calling.

He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the church for their continuous support for the PENSA Ghana conferences and other youth activities.

The 2025 PENSA Ghana Conference has an estimated attendance of 12,200 people across all four centres.
