Lamashegu District Schools Outreach Ministry Blesses School Pupils With New Shoes

In a touching display of generosity, the Lamashegu District Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of The Church of Pentecost has donated brand-new shoes to 30 pupils at Bamvim Presbyterian Primary School, bringing joy and comfort to the young people.

The donation was led by a delegation from the Church, including Pastor Frank Amoako Henneh (District Minister), his wife Sarah, Elder Nicholas Tenadu (SOM Coordinator), and Elder John Akapko. They presented the gifts on behalf of the Church, demonstrating the love of Christ in a tangible way.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as the children received their new shoes with beaming smiles and thankful hearts.

The Headmistress of the school expressed sincere appreciation for the thoughtful gesture and appealed for continued support to help meet the ongoing needs of the pupils.

During a brief exhortation, Pastor Henneh shared on the topic: ‘Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have because God is pleased with these kinds of sacrifices’ based on from Hebrews 13:16: He noted that acts of kindness and generosity are not merely good deeds but divine responsibilities that reflect the heart of God.

‘As Christians,’ he said, ‘we are called to reflect Christ by extending kindness to others. This is central to our mission as a Church—to reveal the goodness of Christ in our communities and to possess the nations with His love.’

He encouraged teachers, pupils, and community members alike to embrace a spirit of compassion and become vessels of generosity in their daily lives.

This gesture is a shining example of The Church of Pentecost’s commitment to its ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda, which aims to influence every sphere of society with Kingdom values and principles.

This event took place in the Biriwa District of the Mankessim Area from June 4-8, 2025, under the theme: “Jesus Christ, the Giver of Life” (John 14:6; John 3:16).

Prior to the outreach, a three-day retreat was held fromJune 2-4,to spiritually prepare and equip the students for the mission.

With great zeal and enthusiasm, the students departed for the Biriwa District, where they were warmly received by the District Minister, Pastor Albert Anderson, and assigned to various zones within the district.

To the glory of God, 322 souls were won for Christ, 70 of them were baptised in water, and 27 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Koforidua Area Youth Ministry Storms Mangoase With Evangelism Takeover, Wins 78 Souls, Plants Two New Local Assemblies web

Koforidua Area Youth Ministry Storms Mangoase With Evangelism Takeover, Wins 78 Souls, Plants Two New Local Assemblies

The Koforidua Area Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost recently embarked on a Evangelism Takeover in Mangoase, resulting in a remarkable harvest of 78 souls and the establishment of two new local assemblies.

The outreach, held from May 23-25, 2025, mobilised over 50 passionate and Spirit-filled young men and women who took to the streets, homes, and villages of Blagodzi and Sumaila with the gospel of Christ. The team engaged in dawn broadcasting, house-to-house evangelism, video rallies, and evening crusades, with the tangible power of God evident throughout the communities.

The initiative aligns with the Youth Ministry’s vision: ‘Grounded in Christ, reaching everyone, and taking over everywhere for Jesus.’ Under this mandate, the Pentecost Young Missionaries (PYM) programme has been realigned to operate at both Area and District levels, empowering youth to win souls and disciple them for Christ.

By the end of the outreach, 78 souls, comprising 50 adults and 28 children, had surrendered their lives to Christ. Many underwent water baptism, while others received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In response to the overwhelming acceptance of the gospel, two new assemblies were planted in Blagodzi and Sumaila, both suburbs of Mangoase. The two assemblies will be nurtured by the Mangoase District, with support from the Area Youth Ministry.

A particularly awe-inspiring moment occurred during the Sunday service at Sumaila. A young man, seated quietly among the congregation, experienced a supernatural encounter. He testified to hearing a mysterious wind whispering an unfamiliar song into his ears, filling him with awe and conviction. He later approached one of the missionaries and confessed that he had previously possessed fetish items such as charms believed to offer protection from physical harm. Moved by the Spirit of God, he surrendered these items, declaring, ‘I do not want them anymore because of Jesus.’ The items were burned, and the young man received deliverance and water baptism. This powerful testimony serves as a reminder that Jesus saves, delivers, and reveals His glory.

Pastor Michael Akrobettoe, Koforidua Area Youth Leader, thanked God for the success of the outreach, saying, ‘This is what we are called to do — to go, preach, and disciple. God has truly visited Mangoase through His youthful army.’

Upon receiving the report, Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue, Koforidua Area Head, commended the Youth Ministry for their zeal and dedication to the Great Commission. He encouraged the team to continue supporting the newly planted churches until they are fully established in the Lord.

The Mangoase Evangelism Takeover stands as a testament to the transformative power of mobilising young people for missions.

Pastor Tandoh Urges Youth To Build Purposeful Relationships web

Pastor Tandoh Urges Youth to Build Purposeful Relationships

The National Coordinator for the Schools Outreach Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Tandoh, has emphasised that relationships are fundamental to the Christian life and must be approached with purpose and intentionality.

Speaking on the topic “The Etymology of Relationships” during the Empowerment Session of the recently held “You Must Be Born Again” Gospel Crusade at Ho Technical University, Pastor Tandoh highlighted that God is both deliberate and inclusive in how He relates to people, and believers must reflect this divine intentionality in their relationships.

Quoting Matthew 22:37-38, he explained that Jesus viewed the commandments through the lens of relationship — urging believers to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. “God is very intentional, and yet embraces all individuals,” he said.

Using 2 Timothy 2:20-21, Pastor Tandoh likened believers to vessels of gold, silver, wood, and clay, stressing that one’s usefulness in God’s house is directly tied to personal sanctification.

“To be a noble vessel in the house of God depends on how you have cleansed yourself,” he stated.

He also addressed the dynamics of romantic relationships, warning against entering into such relationships prematurely. Referencing Song of Solomon 8:4, he underscored the importance of timing and knowledge in managing the power of love.

“You need knowledge to guide this power of love; otherwise, what was meant to be a blessing can become something else,” he cautioned.

Breaking down the word “relationship” into “relate” and “ship”, he described relationships as journeys between individuals that require direction and purpose.

“Every ship must have direction — and so must every relationship,” he said.

Pastor Tandoh advised young people to avoid emotionally overinvesting in relationships that lack clear direction. He stressed the importance of boundaries, saying,

“Boundaries are created by values. The boundaries you give to a person become their area of play.”

The SOM Coordinator also warned against toxic relationship types – Doggie and Serpentine relationships.

“Doggie relationships”, he described as those driven by fleshly desires and lacking spiritual discernment, often marked by repeated mistakes.

“Serpentine relationships”, on the other hand, are deceitful and draw individuals away from God’s purpose.

Pastor Tandoh concluded his presentation by urging the youth to build relationships that honor God, promote spiritual and personal growth, and align with their divine calling.

“The ultimate bond and power of every relationship is love. On the altar of love, any sacrifice can be made,” he affirmed.
