Asokwa Area Women’s Ministry Supports Kwanwoma District

The Asokwa Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has donated 120 plastic chairs to three assemblies in the Kwanwoma District of the church to support their expanding congregations.

The presentation, led by Mrs Faith Dzemekey (wife of the Asokwa Area Head), took place during a prayer service organised by the Area Women’s Ministry at the Kyekyewere Assembly on October 1, 2025.

Deaconess Rose Agyei, the Area Women’s Ministry Leader, who personally financed the purchase of 20 chairs, explained that the initiative was informed by a month-long visitation across the District in August. During these visits, the team identified a significant shortage of chairs, particularly at the Kyekyewere New Site, where the assemblies were frequently compelled to hire chairs for Sunday services and special events.

The beneficiary assemblies included Kyekyewere New Site, Bekwamin, and Kyekyewere Central.

Receiving the donation, Pastor George Owusu, Kwanwoma District Minister, expressed deep gratitude to the Asokwa Area leadership of the Women’s Ministry for their generosity and commitment to the growth of the church. He noted the District’s rapid expansion, with membership rising from 1,500 to 1,900 in two years. He also appealed for support in acquiring land for assemblies currently worshipping in uncompleted private buildings, citing high land costs as a major challenge.

Deaconess Deborah Ahenkora gave an exhortation on the theme, “Pray Without Ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Matthew 7:7–11), which was followed by a fervent prayer session led by Deaconess Joyce Obeng.

Also present were the executive committee members of the Area Women’s Ministry, including Deaconess Alexandria Siabuor (Secretary), Deaconess Nana Yaa Serwaa, and Mrs Elizabeth Donkor.

God Has Not Finished With You – Apostle Nana Yaw Agyei Encourages Women

The Area Head of the newly created Sakumono Area of The Church of Pentecost,Apostle Samuel Nana Yaw Agyei, has called on Christians to remain steadfast in their faith, assuring them that God has not finished with them yet.

Speaking at the maiden meeting of the Area Women’s Ministry, Apostle Nana Yaw Agyei encouraged the women to place their hope in Christ for a brighter tomorrow.

Drawing from Luke 1:30 and John 19:25-27, he indicated that divine favour is often accompanied by trials.

“One of the signs that God has blessed an individual,” he noted, “Is the opposition they encounter. Those who are highly favoured frequently endure hardship, for God has set them apart for greatness.”

He cited Bible characters who triumphed after hardship. David had to fight lions before defeating Goliath. Ruth journeyed great distances before finding her destiny. Hannah travailed in prayer for years before God opened her womb. Mary, though highly favoured, endured the agony of watching her Son crucified.

Reflecting on Mary’s pain, he asked: “How would you feel if your own son were hanging on the cross, bleeding, while the team had scattered and God seemed silent?”

He reminded the women that silence is also an answer from God, saying, “God answers prayers in four ways: yes, no, wait, and silence. When God is silent, He is still moving things in our favour.”

Apostle Agyei also described Mary’s encounter with the angel Gabriel. According to him, though the vision was fearsome, the message was filled with grace, ‘You are highly favoured.’

He emphasised that there is a difference between favour and high favour. “Mary’s miraculous pregnancy could not be explained naturally, but with the Holy Ghost, what seems impossible becomes possible.”

The angel even gave Mary a reference point, pointing to Elizabeth’s miraculous pregnancy, stressing that “When the Holy Spirit is in action, impossibilities bow.”

Apostle Samuel Nana Yaw Agyei reminded the women that favour comes at a cost. Just as Mary bore the pain of her calling, Christians must also endure trials with faith, knowing that God is shaping their testimonies.

Ministerial Transfers Are Opportunities To Share Spiritual Gifts web

Ministerial Transfers Are Opportunities To Share Spiritual Gifts – Mrs Rose Kumi-Larbi

Mrs Rose Dansoa Kumi-Larbi, wife of the Ashaiman Area Head and immediate past General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has encouraged pastors’ wives to view ministerial transfers as opportunities to share both spiritual and practical gifts for the growth of the church and its members.

Speaking on the topic, ‘Preparing for Transfer and Home Management’ at the just-ended Ministers’ Wives Conference held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, Mrs Kumi-Larbi indicated that transfers are not merely administrative changes but divine strategies for redistributing God’s gifts and graces.

‘Transfers allow for the equitable distribution of giftings. It is not the pastor who is transferred, but the gifts within them, as outlined in Ephesians 4:1-13,’ she explained.

She added that transfers are essential for sustaining the ministry, fostering growth, and preventing complacency and over-familiarity in the work of the Lord.

Mrs Kumi-Larbi reminded participants that God, as the owner of the Church, reorganises His soldiers to form stronger teams.

She, therefore, stressed the importance of making adequate preparations ahead of transfers to ensure a smooth transition for incoming ministers and their families.

Highlighting the significance of the mission house, she described it as both an equipping centre and an extension of the church. She urged pastors’ wives to maintain the sanctity and cleanliness of the mission house, lamenting the neglect of basic maintenance in some cases, which often leads to costly repairs.

‘Regular maintenance prevents major damage and saves money in the long run. It also enhances safety and creates a serene atmosphere. Sometimes, we may need to use our own resources rather than relying solely on church funds,’ she noted.

She also encouraged pastors’ wives to seek God in prayer for fresh anointing, vision, direction, and both spiritual and financial resources when preparing for a transfer. Additionally, she advised them to leave the mission house in a better condition than they met it and to avoid last-minute packing.

‘Do not leave old items behind. Ensure that the next pastor can begin their ministry without inconvenience caused by your inaction,’ she cautioned.

Mrs Kumi-Larbi concluded by urging participants to be prudent stewards of the resources provided for the mission house, saying, ‘Let us learn basic food preservation techniques to avoid wastage, manage our home finances wisely, and invest some of the blessings we receive to prepare for challenging times.’
