Seek The Mantle Of Your Calling – Apostle Bekoe Charges Youth

The International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has charged young person to actively seek the mantle of their calling.

He made the clarion call during the opening session of the 2025 PENSA Ghana Conference on Thursday, December 2, 2024.

Speaking from the PCC Centre at Gomoa Fetteh in a sermon titled, ‘Walk the Calling,’ based on Ephesians 4:1-3, Apostle Bekoe emphasised that the calling believers receive fundamentally shapes their lives.

He stated: ‘If there is no calling, there is no life,’ highlighting that this calling is not merely a vocation but an invitation to partake in the privileges of the gospel.

He elaborated that embracing this calling requires a commitment that often restricts personal freedom, leading believers down a narrow path that fosters spiritual growth.

Apostle Bekoe articulated that the life shaped by this calling culminates in a code of conduct, which he described as the fruits of one’s faith. He noted that these fruits are essential for effective ministry and must precede the manifestation of spiritual gifts.

‘You must first bear the fruits before manifesting the gifts,’ he explained, warning that failure to do so results in a misalignment of spiritual authority.

The IMD touched on some of the codes of conduct as complete humility, describing it as a mindset necessary for spiritual elevation; gentleness or meekness, which involves yielding to God’s demands and preserving His will; patience, defining it as developing fortitude and courage amidst adversity; forbearance or endurance, which means supporting others through hardships with love; and unity of spirit, which focuses on maintaining harmony within the body of Christ.

Apostle Bekoe also drew distinctions between church offices and mantles, explaining that while offices represent administrative roles, mantles signify the divine power and authority required to fulfill those roles. He warned that if spiritual codes are compromised, it could result in leaders holding titles without true power.

He further expounded on various church offices: the apostolic office governs with signs and wonders; the prophetic office guides as oracles of God; the evangelistic office gathers and liberates captives; the pastoral office guards and rescues souls; and the teaching office grounds believers and fosters discipleship.

Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe ended by urging participants to embody their callings authentically, saying, ‘If you cannot walk the talk, you cannot talk the walk and so you cannot walk the calling.’

PENSA Ghana Conference Commences Across Four Centres In Ghana

The 2025 session of the annual PENSA Ghana Conference has commenced across four centres in Ghana.

The conference, which was officially opened on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, which is the main centre, also had satellite centres at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the Central Region, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi and the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

Delivering the opening address at the PCC, the immediate past Patron of the Youth Ministry and Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Committee Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, indicated that God, through the PENSA conferences which started in 1980, has raised a lot of key leaders and ministers for The Church of Pentecost, and is still doing so.

He was optimistic that God, through His word and other activities designed for the conference, will raise young men and women who will practice Christianity and walk the Bible.

This, he believed, will help contribute to the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda of the church. He, therefore, called on all participants not to just be observers but to allow God to impact them, just like the many who have attended such conferences and have become great.

The Youth Director, Apostle Ebenezer Hagan, in his address mentioned that the life of the believer must preach what the Bible preaches, hence the theme for the conference, ‘Walk the Calling.’ According to him, the theme is a clarion call to Christians, especially the youth to leave a holy calling.

He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the church for their continuous support for the PENSA Ghana conferences and other youth activities.

The 2025 PENSA Ghana Conference has an estimated attendance of 12,200 people across all four centres.

Just Have Faith In God For Greatness In 2025 – Apostle Nyamekye

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has challenged Christians to deepen their faith and trust in God as they enter the new year.

He made the call on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, during the 31st December Watch Night Service at the Dr Thomas Wyatt Worship Centre in the Accra Newtown District in La Area.

Speaking on the topic, ‘A Call to Greatness Through a Life of Faith in God,’ drew from Joshua 1:8, he explained God’s command to Joshua, urging believers to keep the word of God in their hearts and mouths.

‘The word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword, clearing our path so we can walk in the King’s Highway. This word must dominate the thoughts and lives of all believers,’ he emphasised.

Apostle Nyamekye reminded the congregation of the transformative power of faith, grounded in scripture such as 2 Corinthians 5:7, which calls on believers to live by faith and not by sight.

He asserted: ‘When we take our eyes off God and His word, we lose our faith and become like mere humans operating in earthly wisdom and efforts.’

Highlighting the foundational role of faith in the Christian journey, the Chairman referenced Hebrews 11:2-3, emphasising that the universe was formed by God’s command.

‘Everything we see came out of God’s breath and word. When He says He will bless you, don’t doubt Him. His word is alive and active, sustaining all things and equipping believers for greatness,’ he proclaimed.

Using the example of Abraham from Romans 4:18-20, Apostle Nyamekye illustrated the solid faith needed to trust God’s promises despite contradictory facts. According to Chairman Nyamekye, Abraham never doubted God’s promise, even though it seemed impossible by human standards. He was fully persuaded that God would fulfill His word.

‘In 2025, believers must also have this faith, looking beyond their challenges to see the God of the Bible,’ he said.

He also encouraged Christians to emulate the prayerful faith of Jabez, who overcame his painful beginnings by crying out to God to turn his fortunes around.

‘Faith in God is enough to make you great. Trust Him in 2025 for an expansive life,’ he told the congregants.

The Watch Night Service concluded with fervent prayers, worship, and declarations of faith for the new year.

Management and staff members from the Despite Media group, led by Deacon Fada Narh Dickson, who were present at the service, thanked God for a successful year and donated and amount of GH₵ 50,000 to support widows in the church.

685 Souls Saved At ‘Kintampo For Christ Crusade’

Six Hundred and Eighty-Five persons gave their lives to Jesus Christ during a 4-day gospel crusade organised by the Kintampo Area of The Church of Pentecost.

The crusade, dubbed ‘Kintampo for Christ Mega Crusade,’ which was held between November 19-22, 2024, at the Kintampo Presby Park, attracted people from within the Kintampo township and surrounding areas. Fourteen Muslims gave their lives to Christ and 219 backslidden Christians also rededicated their lives to the Lord during the crusade.

Speaking on the crusade’s theme, ‘Jesus came to seek and save the lost’ (Luke 19:10), Apostle Francis Agyemang Badu, the Kintampo Area Head, explained that God’s plan to reconcile man to himself fully culminated in the mission of Jesus to seek the lost and bring them salvation. An invitation was then extended to all who were yet to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour to come to him, to which scores of people, both young and old, responded and surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus.

Other activities at the crusade included a medical outreach, which provided free medical screening and medication for close to 200 people living in and around Kintampo.

The crusade formed part of Kintampo Area’s November aggressive evangelism month, during which various evangelistic outreaches were carried out across all districts in the Area, with many more people giving their lives to Christ.

Deeds Impact Foundation Africa, a Non-Governmental Organisation, led by Phylis Osei-Korsah, has made a substantial donation to support the operations of the Great Mission International (GMI) Orphanage in Teshie-Nungua Estate, a suburb of Accra.

Among the items donated on the New Year Day are rice, oil, water, toiletries, pair of shoes, clothing, milk, books, worth about GHS 7,000.00.

The recent donation, described as their first significant contribution, was facilitated by Phylis Osei-Korsah, daughter of Apostle Dr Philip Osei-Korsah, the Director of the Counselling Ministry of The Church of Pentecost. She was accompanied by her family, and a team from Deeds Impact Foundation Africa.

Apostle Dr Osei-Korsah expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to support the inmates, stating, ‘We are here to show love to Great Mission International.’

The caretaker, Mrs. Emelia Abugzio, in turn, expressed profound appreciation for the support, emphasising its positive impact on the children and the organisation’s operations.

She highlighted GMI’s success stories, noting that some former inmates have completed tertiary education and are now professionals, including nurses, midwives, and human resources personnel at institutions like Absa Bank.

‘The orphanage’s mandate is to rehabilitate and reintegrate children into society, providing comprehensive care encompassing shelter, food, clothing, medical support, education, and mental health services, all grounded in the love and teachings of the Gospel,’ she said.

Great Mission International (GMI), a non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting abandoned and trafficked children across Africa, operational for 18 years, has provided care and protection to over 1,000 children. HUM Partners With Mental Health Authority To Support Rehabilitation Of Mentally Challenged

In an effort to support individuals with mental health challenges, the Home and Urban Missions (HUM) of The Church of Pentecost has partnered with the Mental Health Authority of Ghana in a groundbreaking project aimed at transforming the lives of mentally challenged individuals living in public spaces.

The project involves adopting these individuals into a care facility, providing comprehensive rehabilitation, and ultimately reintegrating them back into their homes and communities, where they will continue to receive ongoing support.

The ambitious initiative has been made possible through a generous donation of GH¢ 22,000.00 from The Church of Pentecost to support the activities of the Authority. The donation was intended to cover essential needs, including food, clothing, and medical expenses. Additionally, items such as single cranked beds, mattresses, bedsheets, hospital screens, buckets, and other essentials were donated to ensure that the patients are well cared for during their rehabilitation journey.

The Director of the Mental Health Authority, Professor Pinaman Appau, expressed her profound gratitude to The Church of Pentecost and its leadership, especially Chairman Eric Nyamekye. She was hopeful that the initiative will continue.

Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, the National Coordinator of Home and Urban Missions, who led the donation drive, expressed the commitment of the leadership of the church to supporting marginalised and deprived communities. He emphasised the church’s vision to ‘possess nations for Christ’ and described the role of HUM as pivotal in transforming lives.

‘Over the past few years, our goal has been to equip ourselves for the work ahead. Now, we have been unleashed to go out and make a tangible difference. This partnership with the Mental Health Authority reflects our dedication to reaching those in need and offering hope and support to the most vulnerable in society,’ he said.

The rehabilitation programme is designed to span about three months, during which five patients will receive specialised care tailored to their individual needs. After this intensive rehabilitation phase, the patients will be reintegrated into their communities, where HUM and its partners will continue to monitor their progress and provide ongoing support to ensure their continued recovery.

The project will also include a tracking and follow-up programme to monitor the progress of individuals who have returned to their families. This will ensure that they continue to receive the necessary care and support from their families and local communities. For individuals who are not yet fully rehabilitated or reintegrated, a partner rehabilitation plan will be put in place to ensure that no one is left behind.

The year-long partnership marks a significant step towards addressing the mental health needs of underserved communities in Ghana, providing not only immediate care but also long-term support for recovery. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and The Church of Pentecost’s commitment to uplifting those who are often overlooked in society.

As Home and Urban Missions continues to build on its vision of transformation, this initiative serves as a beacon of hope for individuals struggling with mental health challenges, showing that with the right support, recovery and reintegration into society are not only possible but achievable.
