Kasoa Area Women’s Ministry Donates To Mother & Child Hospital

The Women’s Ministry of the Kasoa Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted items to the Children’s and Maternity Wards of the Mother & Child Hospital in Kasoa.

The donation, made earlier today, included detergents, toiletries, bar and liquid soaps, diapers, antiseptics (Dettol), sachets of water, bottled water, soft drinks, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The presentation was made during a brief ceremony led by Mrs. Irene Asare (wife of the Kasoa Area Head) and Deaconess Mrs. Dora Dapaah (Kasoa Area Women’s Ministry Leader), together with a delegation from the ministry.

Speaking at the event, Deaconess Dora Dapaah explained that the gesture aligns with the church’s strategic vision to positively impact society. She noted that the donation was prompted by the unique challenges many mothers face during the early stages of childbirth.

“As mothers ourselves, we understand how difficult this period can be. That is why women across the Kasoa Area came together and decided to support new mothers and their babies in this small but meaningful way,” she said.

Delivering a brief exhortation, Mrs. Irene Asare encouraged health workers to make a lasting impact in their line of duty. Citing the biblical example of Dorcas, she reminded them that people are often remembered for their good deeds.

“Your acts of kindness may go unnoticed today, but they are not forgotten. The Bible teaches us that those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed,” she said.

She further encouraged the staff to continue to serve patients with love, joy, and a cheerful spirit, despite the daily challenges they may encounter.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Dzodzegbe Apetorgbor, expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture and prayed for God’s blessings upon the women.

He revealed that the facility handles over 6,000 childbirths annually and assured the delegation that the items would be put to good use.

Joining the delegation were Pastors Emmanuel Twumasi (Kasoa CP District Minister) and Daniel Bentum (Buduburam Top District Minister), Deaconess Mrs. Victoria Amponsah (Assistant Area Women’s Ministry Leader), Deaconess Eunice Asante (Area Women’s Ministry Secretary), some ministers’ wives, and other Women’s Ministry executives.

17-Year-Old Girl Miraculously Rescued From Kidnappers After Intense Prayer

In what many are describing as a divine intervention, 17-year-old Princess Koomson, a student at Odorgonno Senior High School in Accra, was rescued from kidnappers on Saturday, June 14, 2025, after a week-long ordeal.

The second-year SHS student was abducted on June 7 while waiting for a trotro (commercial vehicle) near Pentecost Junction in Ablekuma to go home.

According to Princess, she was lured into a 4-wheel drive by men who claimed to be heading in her direction. She later regained consciousness in a dark room with two other girls and several armed men, believed to be of Nigerian origin. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of GHS 30,000. However, police were able to trace the caller’s location to New Oduman.

During this time, the New Awoshie District of The Church of Pentecost was observing its District Week 2 programme from June 10 to 15. On the evening of Thursday, June 12, the District Minister, Pastor George Oppong, was informed of Princess’ abduction. He immediately led the congregation in fervent intercessory prayers during the Friday morning session. The church prayed to set confusion among the kidnappers. The Pastor declared, ‘May they fight among themselves and free the captives.’

That same declaration was later echoed by Elder Edward Dadzie during the evening service, despite not being present at the morning session, a Spirit-led declaration many saw as confirmation of divine guidance.

In a dramatic turn of events on the night of June 13, the kidnappers began arguing among themselves. Some accused Princess of being a witch and insisted she be released. In the early hours of June 14, one of the kidnappers woke up Princess and another girl, led them through a separate exit, and told them to run without looking back. The girls eventually found themselves in Kasoa, where a kind-hearted woman paid their fare back to Ablekuma.

An elderly woman at the prayer meeting prophesied that Princess would return the next day, a prophecy that came true.

Princess’ uncle, Elder Francis Dzeklo, credited her rescue to the power of prayer, saying, ‘The prayer session was so intense. My faith rose up, and I knew there was going to be a miracle.’

The family has since expressed profound gratitude to God for Princess’ safe return. Her story stands as a powerful testimony to the impact of faith and prayer. As Princess herself said, ‘I give God all the praise.’

This extraordinary rescue serves as a reminder of the power of intercessory prayer backed by faith.

DIGITAL EDUCATION A UNIVERSAL RIGHT – PASTOR DR. KLUTSE TELLS WORLD LEADERS web

Make Digital Education A Universal Right – Ps. Dr. Klutse Tells World Leaders

The Director of the Pent Media Centre, Pastor Dr. Felix Dela Klutse, has called on world leaders to recognise digital education as a universal human right, stressing that internet access can no longer be treated as a luxury but a necessity in today’s world.

Speaking at the recently-held United Nations Youth Impacts Conference in New York under the theme “Ensuring Equitable Access to Quality Education in the Digital Era,” Dr. Klutse delivered an impassioned address that highlighted the growing digital divide and its impact on education globally.

His presentation focused on the urgent need for global collaboration to close the gap and ensure equitable access to digital learning for all, regardless of geography or circumstance.

“Education is not a privilege. It is a right,” he stated firmly, pointing out that while digital tools have revolutionised education in many parts of the world, they have also deepened inequalities where access to internet, devices, and trained teachers is still lacking.

Dr. Klutse noted that more than 2.6 billion people remain offline, most of them in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Even in places where there is connectivity, high costs, poor infrastructure, and shared devices make meaningful online learning difficult—especially for children in low-income and rural communities.

He painted a stark picture of digital exclusion, revealing that over 770 million people still live without reliable electricity, and millions of children are forced to share one phone among several siblings or travel long distances just to connect to Wi-Fi.

Dr. Klutse also drew attention to the plight of over 43 million displaced children worldwide—many living in refugee camps or conflict zones—who lack access to both formal and digital education. Using examples from Ukraine, Gaza, and Afghanistan, he stressed the importance of maintaining education during wars and humanitarian emergencies.

He pointed out that girls are particularly disadvantaged in many regions, either due to cultural barriers, safety concerns, or outright bans—such as those currently enforced in Afghanistan. He also highlighted the absence of inclusive content for non-English speakers and children with disabilities, calling for a greater push towards localised and accessible educational materials.

Despite these challenges, Dr. Klutse praised innovative initiatives like Kenya’s solar-powered offline learning systems, which are helping underserved communities stay connected to education. He also cited India’s government-led Diksha platform, acknowledging its potential while pointing out its limited reach in rural areas.

He commended ongoing efforts by the UN, including Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition, and the GIGA Project by UNICEF and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which aims to connect every school to the internet by 2030. However, he urged that these efforts must be scaled up with urgency.

Dr. Klutse ended his address with a passionate appeal to world leaders, saying: “If we truly believe that education is a right, then we must act like it. The internet is no longer a luxury—it is a lifeline. Let us ensure that no child, no matter where they live, is left behind in this digital era.”

The United Nations General Assembly, made up of all 193 member states, remains the central platform for addressing global issues like education, peace, development, and human rights. The Youth Impacts Conference, held from June 10 to 20, 2025, at Hofstra University in New York, brought together more than 100 university students, educators, policymakers, and professionals from around the world.

With its diverse and inclusive nature, the conference gave voice to perspectives from both developed and developing nations, reinforcing a shared global resolve: to build a future where every child has access to quality education in a digitally connected world.

Koforidua Area Youth Ministry Storms Mangoase With Evangelism Takeover, Wins 78 Souls, Plants Two New Local Assemblies web

Koforidua Area Youth Ministry Storms Mangoase With Evangelism Takeover, Wins 78 Souls, Plants Two New Local Assemblies

The Koforidua Area Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost recently embarked on a Evangelism Takeover in Mangoase, resulting in a remarkable harvest of 78 souls and the establishment of two new local assemblies.

The outreach, held from May 23-25, 2025, mobilised over 50 passionate and Spirit-filled young men and women who took to the streets, homes, and villages of Blagodzi and Sumaila with the gospel of Christ. The team engaged in dawn broadcasting, house-to-house evangelism, video rallies, and evening crusades, with the tangible power of God evident throughout the communities.

The initiative aligns with the Youth Ministry’s vision: ‘Grounded in Christ, reaching everyone, and taking over everywhere for Jesus.’ Under this mandate, the Pentecost Young Missionaries (PYM) programme has been realigned to operate at both Area and District levels, empowering youth to win souls and disciple them for Christ.

By the end of the outreach, 78 souls, comprising 50 adults and 28 children, had surrendered their lives to Christ. Many underwent water baptism, while others received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In response to the overwhelming acceptance of the gospel, two new assemblies were planted in Blagodzi and Sumaila, both suburbs of Mangoase. The two assemblies will be nurtured by the Mangoase District, with support from the Area Youth Ministry.

A particularly awe-inspiring moment occurred during the Sunday service at Sumaila. A young man, seated quietly among the congregation, experienced a supernatural encounter. He testified to hearing a mysterious wind whispering an unfamiliar song into his ears, filling him with awe and conviction. He later approached one of the missionaries and confessed that he had previously possessed fetish items such as charms believed to offer protection from physical harm. Moved by the Spirit of God, he surrendered these items, declaring, ‘I do not want them anymore because of Jesus.’ The items were burned, and the young man received deliverance and water baptism. This powerful testimony serves as a reminder that Jesus saves, delivers, and reveals His glory.

Pastor Michael Akrobettoe, Koforidua Area Youth Leader, thanked God for the success of the outreach, saying, ‘This is what we are called to do — to go, preach, and disciple. God has truly visited Mangoase through His youthful army.’

Upon receiving the report, Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue, Koforidua Area Head, commended the Youth Ministry for their zeal and dedication to the Great Commission. He encouraged the team to continue supporting the newly planted churches until they are fully established in the Lord.

The Mangoase Evangelism Takeover stands as a testament to the transformative power of mobilising young people for missions.
