Obuasi Area PEMEM Constructs Bus Stop For Tutuka Community

The Obuasi Area Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) of The Church of Pentecost has constructed a modern bus stop for the people of Tutuka, near Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

Handing over the facility which was done at the cost of GH¢ 3,500.00 to the community, the Obuasi Area Head of the Church, Apostle William Boakye Agyarko, said that the bus stop was provided in fulfilment of the church’s vision and social intervention programme.

Apostle Agyarko noted that the provision of the facility would help to stem the frequent pedestrian knockdowns in the community, especially among children since commuters will have a conducive waiting place before boarding vehicles.

He also advised the people to avoid writing on the facility to keep it in good shape for posterity.

Receiving the bus stop on behalf of Obuasi East District Assembly, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Faustina Amissah, expressed her deepest appreciation to The Church of Pentecost for coming to the aid of the community.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi East, Hon. Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom, on his part, was full of joy for the project and thanked the church for extending support to the communities around.

Present at the ceremony were the Obuasi Area PEMEM Leader, Pastor Moses Narteh and his executives, the Area pastorate, Mr. Emmanuel A. Ntoso (District Coordinating Director), Mr. Samuel Nti Kyeremeh (District Engineer), among others.

PEMEM Donates To COVID-19 Patients, Frontline Workers

The leadership of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) has donated items worth over GHS 9000 to frontline personnel and COVId-19 patients receiving treatment at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh.

The items presented include boxes of bottled water, toiletries, sanitary products, buckets, sponge and towels, etc.

The donation was made on May 22, 2020, when the PEMEM leadership joined health workers and patients for their routine morning devotion.

Speaking on the topic: Do Not Worry, the PEMEM Director, Apostle Emanuel Ofei Ankra Badu urged the patients not to be troubled but to believe in God and trust him for his healing.

Presenting the items on the ministry, the PEMEM National Secretary, Elder Stephen Djaba, expressed the ministry’s appreciation for the selfless service undertaken by the frontline personnel in the fight against the pandemic in the country.

He added that this gesture was in response to the humble appeal made by the medical personnel through the Manager of the Centre on some essential needs the patient needed for their upkeep during their stay at the facility.

Receiving the items on behalf of the patients, Dr Pupulampu, a member of the National COVID-19 Case Management Team, expressed profound gratitude to The Church of Pentecost for the daily prayer and word exhortations as well as the spiritual atmosphere created at the facility, which according to him, has contributed the speedy recoveries recorded.

He further thanked the leadership of the Men’s Ministry for the donation presented to them and called on other men’s fellowship groups, corporate institutions and para-churches to follow suit to augment the efforts of the government in battling this pandemic.

Prayers were offered for the patients and paramedics at the Pentecost Convention Centre for divine healing and protection, and also for the speedy recovery of all active COVID-19 cases worldwide.
