The Bompata Area of The Church of Pentecost has made a generous donation to the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Navrongo (PIWC-Navrongo).

The donation, comprising a brand new motorbike, a megaphone, a bicycle, and a bag full of new clothes and footwear, were mobilised by the Area during the McKeown’s Missions Week held in March.

The Bompata Area Missions Committee Chairman, Pastor Joshua Kwabena Donkor, made the donation on behalf of the Area.

Upon receiving the items, the Bolga Area Head, Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Acquah, expressed his appreciation to the Bompata Area Head and Executive Council Member, Apostle Yaw Adei-Kwarteng, and the entire membership of the Area for their generosity.

The PIWC-Navrongo Resident Minister, Pastor Eric Asante, also expressed his gratitude for the timely gesture, saying, “Your kindness shall be an everlasting memorial.”

He added that “the motorbike and the bicycle will help us to effectively reach out to more schools in our weekly schools’ outreach, whereas the megaphone will enable us to speak to wider audiences.”

The Yennyawoso District in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated items worth GHC 35,300.00 to support the missions enterprise of the Church.

The items, which included a pair of mid-speakers, a power mixer (12-channels), a cordless microphone, a brand new Apsonic motorbike, 300 pieces of wax print, a bale of clothing, footwear, 20 handbags, and many others, were presented on Friday, April 21, 2023, on behalf of the District Minister, Pastor Charles Oduro, by the District Missions Committee Chairman, Elder Philip Kwaku Boateng, at a short presentation ceremony held at the forecourt of the Central Assembly auditorium.

According to him, the donation corroborates the Vision 2023 agenda of the Church, which aims at possessing the nations for Christ. Pastor Charles Oduro, who doubles as the Area Missions Committee Chairman also received the items on behalf of the Area Head, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku.

He expressed profound gratitude to the donors for the kind gesture and wished them God’s blessings.

He was hopeful that the gesture displayed by the Yennyawoso District will go a long way to help reach out to the unreached with the Gospel.

He further assured that all the items would be delivered to the appropriate quarters to serve the intended purpose.

Present at the short presentation ceremony were Elders Anthony Anane (District Finance Chairman), David Kwaku Boahen and Thomas Obiri Yeboah (District Missions Committee Members).

The Atomic Hills District in the Haatso Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated a brand-new Sonlink motorcycle worth GHS 8,900.00 to the Kawie District in the Sawla Area of the Church.

A short donation ceremony occurred on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Church’s General Headquarters at La in Accra.

Presenting the motorbike, the Atomic Hills District Minister, Pastor John Viscount Arkoh, expressed his belief that it would significantly contribute to the growth of the Church’s mission work in the Kawie District. 

The Personal Assistant to the International Missions Director, Pastor Gideon Kofi Boadu-Yirenkyi, received the motorbike on behalf of the Church and expressed his gratitude to the donors for the generous donation.

Assisting Pastor Boadu-Yirenkyi was the Senior Administrative Manager to the International Missions Director, Mrs Victoria Kumi-Woode, and the Human Resource Manager at the Headquarters, Elder Samuel Mantey Addo.

PIWC-Konongo Donates 2 Motorbikes To Internal Missions

The Pentecost International Worship Centre in Konongo (PIWC Konongo) has donated two motorbikes, valued at GH¢ 18,800.00, to the Atsiave and Amantenaman districts in the Sogakope and Konongo areas, respectively.

The amount was raised during the 2023 McKeown Missions Week celebration held last month.

The Konongo Area Head, Apostle Daniel Owusu-Akyaw, with assistance from the Resident Minister, Pastor Edmund Mawunyo Duvor, dedicated the motorbikes and presented them to the ministers-in-charge of the two beneficiary districts at a short ceremony held on April 9, 2023.

In response, the ministers expressed their profound gratitude to God and the entire membership of PIWC-Konongo for their thoughtfulness and genuine show of love towards them and the Kingdom’s work.

They stated that the motorbikes would go a long way to ease their burden and help them effectively spread the gospel and win more souls for the Lord.

Missions Directorate Receives Massive Support From Madina Area

The Madina Area of The Church of Pentecost, led by the Area Head, Apostle Martin Seth Appiah, has donated a range of items to the internal and external missions of the Church.

The donation was made on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Church’s General Headquarters in La, Accra.

The items included one Tricycle (Aboboyaa), four motorbikes, 86 bicycles, one generator set, 11 pieces of Kente cloth, 22 GTP Wax Print, 335 High-Target Wax Print, 106 materials, 18 jackets, 25 suits, 105 headgears, 33 shirts, 107 singlets, 15 boxes, five towels, and 33 sacks of sewn clothes, among others.

The areas set to benefit from the donations are Bawku, Tumu, Bolga, Yendi, Atebubu, and Afram Plains (Maame Krobo District).

The Madina Area also donated USD 1,610.00 to support the Ganta District of the Church in Liberia, which is aslo supported by the Fire Stone Worship Centre.

In a brief interview with PENTECOST NEWS on the sidelines of the presentation ceremony, Apostle M.S. Appiah said, “As a missionary for fourteen years, where I served in Nigeria (6 years), South Africa (3 years), and the United Kingdom (5 years), respectively, I know the challenges that happen in the missions’ front, where it is worse in the internal missions. I felt that we should put things together as an Area, ensuring that the missions work meets the Great Commission agenda of believers.”

He also revealed that each Area has special needs, especially in the Northern sector, where getting money to acquire some of these items is quite challenging, stating, “We also realized most people in the Northern sector used bicycles and tricycles as their means of transportation.”

The International Missions Director (IMD), Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, on behalf of the Missions Board of the Church, thanked Madina Area for their kind gesture, saying, “The Lord who touched the heart of the leadership will bless you abundantly.”

He indicated that the items would be swiftly distributed to the designated areas as soon as possible. Apostle Bekoe called on members and “Friends of Missions” to never relent in supporting missions by giving their missions offering and donating always to push the work of God across the globe.

The delegation from Madina Area included Pastor Patrick Anto (Madina Area Secretary, Adenta Housing District Minister & Madina Area Missions Chairman), Pastor Joseph Boachie Agyemang (La-Nkwantanang District), Pastor Essel Kofi Annor (East Legon District), Pastor Joshua Yirenkyi-Smart Jnr. (Adjiringanor District), Pastor Daniel Appiah (James Mckeown Worship Centre), Elder Philip Atiemo (Madina Area Estate Officer), and Deaconess Gifty Opare Zowonu (La-Nkwantanang District Women’s Ministry Executive Member).

Also present at the presentation ceremony were Pastor Gideon Boadu Yirenkyi (Personal Assistant To IMD & Resident Minister of Firestone Worship Centre) and Deaconess Ruth Adjabeng (Accounts Manager, Missions Office).

Pentecost International Worship Centre, Graceland (PIWC-Graceland) in the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost (CoP) has donated $20,000.00 to the International Missions Office in support of the CoP’s external branches in Tanzania, Lesotho, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, and the Osogbo Area in Nigeria.

The Church has also donated 20 pieces of wax prints, an undisclosed cash amount to the Bawku Area pastorate Ministers and their wives, a motorcycle valued at GHC 12,000.00 to the Ekye Amanfrom District in the Afram Plains Area, and GHC 60,000.00 towards the upkeep of Missionaries’ children in Ghana.

The donation was made today by a church delegation led by the Resident Minister, Pastor Felix Okyere Anti, at a short ceremony held at the CoP’s General Headquarters in La, Accra.

In a brief remark, the International Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, commended the Church for the wonderful gesture, emphasising the importance of the support to missionaries’ children in Ghana.

“Your donation demonstrates your commitment to supporting those in need around the world and will help to advance the work of missions in the Church,” he said.

The PIWC-Graceland entourage included Elder Joseph Tawiah Ahinde (District Executive Committee Member), Elder Miguel Ekow Andoh (District Administrator), Elder Samuel Ainoo, and Deaconess Edith Delali Ametepey (Assistant Women’s Ministry Leader).

Staff from the Missions Office, including Pastor Gideon Boadu-Yirenkyi (Personal Assistant to the IMD), Mrs. Victoria Kumi-Woode (Administrative Manager To IMD), and Deaconess Ruth Adjabeng (Accounts Manager), were also present at the ceremony.

The Pentecost International Worship Centre, Seattle (PIWC-Seattle) in the California Region of the United States of America has donated 11 boxes of clothing and shoes to the internal missions areas of The Church of Pentecost in Ghana.

The items were presented to the missions directorate by Deaconess Mrs. Lydia Owusu Acheampong (Women’s Ministry Leader of PIWC-Seattle), and her husband, Mr. Chris Owusu Acheampong, during a short donation ceremony held today at the Church’s General Headquarters, La in Accra.

Handing over the items, Mrs.Lydia Owusu Acheampong said that the donation is an initiative of the Women’s Ministry with support from the entire church.

“We are confident that this will contribute significantly to the propagation of the Gospel in the mission areas,” she said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Church, the International Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, assured the donors that the items would be put into good use and distributed to the appropriate areas.

He also thanked the women for their thoughtfulness in supporting missions work in Ghana, urging, “Tell the men to also follow the lead of the women by doing exceptional donations.”

Apostle Obeng Kesse, Family Donate Rechargeable Speakers To Missions

The family of Apostle John Obeng Kesse, the Suame Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has donated rechargeable (LEGACY PRO) speakers to four internal missions Areas of the church at the cost of GHS 10,000.00.

According to Apostle Obeng Kesse, the Lord laid on his heart during this year’s McKeown Missions Week to purchase the speakers for the internal mission Areas.

The beneficiary districts were Kajepere District in the Tumi Area, Najong District in the Walewale Area, and Kwasifanti and Dwarf Island districts in the Afram Plains Area.

As a former missionary, Apostle John Obeng Kesse prayed that the items will be put to good use to harvest souls through the use of the speakers to possess all spheres of the communities.

Tell The World About Jesus – Apostle Nyamekye To Missionaries

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has charged ministers of the church missions field to declare to the world that Jesus Christ has atoned for the sins of the world.

Apostle Nyamekye made this charge at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa-Fetteh, during the just-ended orientation for newly-called missionaries of the church.

Addressing the missionaries, the Chairman of the church said that Jesus, who is the atoning sacrifice, did not only come to earth to die for believers, but He died for the sins of the whole world.

“When you reject Him (Jesus), you reject the appeasing sacrifice that saves,” he said, stressing that the sceptre of the authority of the Kingdom of God is Jesus.

According to the Chairman, Jesus is the only one who takes away the wrath of God, saying, “The righteous run to Him always when they are faced with difficulties.”

“When you carry the sceptre, you must be a righteous person. This is the foundation of Christ,” the Chairman stated.

He added: “Fasting and prayers do not activate the name of Jesus; it does not make the name more powerful, but it releases our spirit man and strengthens our faith to be able to act upon this name Jesus.”

The Chairman charged the missionaries not to worry about where they have been sent to since Jesus is the king over all nations.

Establishing the power and authority in the name of Jesus, Apostle Nyamekye iterated that His resurrection from the dead was God’s proof that He is the appointed one, hence the Son of God.

He then charged them to go into the nations and preach the gospel in love since the gospel is the essence of missions.

2022 Orientation For New Missionaries Ends

The 2022 orientation for newly-called missionaries of The Church of Pentecost has ended at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa-Fetteh, near Kasoa.

The five-day event, organised by the International Missions Office, began on Monday, July 4, and ended on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Closing the event with a sermon on the topic, “The Ministerial Call,” the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, stated that the ministerial calling is a life of pure and holy sacrifice.

“The whole church is called for the whole mission, but this particular calling is a call to sacrifice for the sake of the house of God,” Apostle Nyamekye said.

According to him, the call is a sacrifice for the sake of God and His kingdom. He, therefore, said that the motives of a man when he is being called are always read by God.

He admonished the clergy to be careful of the kind of friends they take in ministry because some have not been called and due to that their ‘gods’ are their bellies.

Apostle Nyamekye further said that ministry is about snatching men from hell and making them ready for heaven, stressing, “We are to seek the lost wherever they are.”

He added: “Anyone fit for heaven is a great asset to the earth. Therefore, once you offer yourself as a sacrifice, you do not determine where you are sacrificed. Hence, when you accept the call, where you are posted is in the hands of God.”

The Chairman urged them to have a better understanding of the ministry so that God will turn things around for them.

Quoting David Livingstone, he emphasized that the ministerial call is a diplomatic call assigned by God to men. He then encouraged wives of missionaries to support their husbands instead of arguing about their roles.

“As a minister of the gospel you are a diplomat, so your spouse’s role is not defined, hence, you are one in ministry,” he emphasised.

Notable among speakers for the orientation were Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi (General Secretary), Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe (International Missions Director), Apostle Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng (Bompata Area Head and Executive Council Member), Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin (Evangelism Director), Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi (Asamankese Area Head).

Others were Apostle Dr. Dela Quampah (Ho Area Head and Executive Council Member), Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Anim (Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Pentecost University), Apostle Vincent Anane Denteh (Pentecost Men’s Ministry Director and Executive Council Member), Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo (Co-ordinator for Home and Urban Missions), Apostle Lt.
