Apostle Agyemang Bekoe Urges Christians To Uphold Holiness

The International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has advised church members, particularly the youth, to uphold holiness so as to experience a new move of the Holy Spirit in their generation.

Apostle Agyemang Bekoe said this yesterday (16th of May 2024) when he addressed participants of the Pentecost 2024 Conference taking place at Rudolf Weber Arena at Oberhausen, Germany.

According to the IMD, invoking the power of the Holy Spirit is impossible without personal holiness.

“His name is God the Holy Ghost,” he proclaimed, underlining the inseparable connection between living a holy life and experiencing the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Bekoe further stressed the importance of recognising the urgency of the times, stating, “We are not in a rush, but we are in haste; the King’s time is not on our side.”

He said that this call to action reflects a deep concern for the swift passage of time and the need for Christians to act with purpose and commitment.

Referencing Acts 2, Apostle Bekoe highlighted the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, as demonstrated by the early church’s experience on the Day of Pentecost.

He noted that speaking in the “language of the Spirit” (Tongues) signifies the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life.

He further underscored the necessity of continuous movement and progress within the Christian life, warning that stagnation leads to a lack of spiritual vitality.

“If we stop moving, we will not have life,” he said.

He, therefore, encouraged beliecers to align their lives with the movement of the Holy Spirit and the pressing demands of the times

Women Of God, Fulfill Your Divine Mandates – Mrs Kyei Boate

The wife of the district minister for Barekese District of The Church of Pentecost, Mrs Grace Kyei Boate, has charged Christian women to strive to fulfill their divine mandates.

She made this call during the climax of the biannual Women’s Ministry Week celebration at the Asikam Assembly on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Speaking on the theme, ‘Woman of God Unleashed to Transform your world’ – Genesis 2:21-24, Luke 10:41-42, Mrs Boate indicated that right from the start of the early church and in Jesus’ ministry, the presence of women has been greatly felt.

She highlighted the significant contributions of women in the early church, citing women like Mary, the sister of Martha, who prioritised listening to Jesus over material possessions.

Mrs Boate encouraged women to move beyond traditional roles of serving and kitchen duties, urging them to be active in ministry and make a lasting impact.

She emphasised that women now have the opportunity to play a vital role in advancing the gospel, referencing past women like Madam Christiana Obo who dedicated resources to spreading the gospel during the days of Pastor James McKeown (Founder of The Church of Pentecost), while charging women to walk and work in the grace of the likes of Mama Eunice Addison, whom the Lord used to receive many of the songs sang in The Church of Pentecost.

Mrs Boate stressed that the grace and anointing for ministry are not exclusive to men but are available to all women. She encouraged women to seek God for empowerment and to utilise the gifts and graces bestowed upon them.

Making reference to the Chairman’s State-of-the-Church address recently delivered at the 18th Extraordinary Council Meeting, she said the report mentioned that over 75,000 deaconesses serve in The Church of Pentecost which is very remarkable. However, there is a need for this number to translate into more souls, more commitment and more advancement of the gospel, she concluded.

PCC Revival Kick-Starts With Enthusiasm web

PCC Revival Kick-Starts With Enthusiasm

The much anticipated ‘PCC Revival’ kick-started on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.

Full of enthusiasm, over a thousand participants turned up to seek the face of God through His word and intensive prayers.

The opening session was warmed up with powerful song ministrations from Elder Gideon Ntumy, Deaconess Nancy Kwafo, Elder Patrick Amoako and the PCC Revival Choir.

During the service, patrons received a spirit-filled word of God from Apostle James Kwabena Asare, the Kasoa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, on the topic, ‘Unleashed with revival to transform my world,’ – Psalm 42:1&;2 85:2-7 and Luke 24:49.

According to Apostle Asare, God has made Christians both light and salt for the world, hence there is a need for every Christian to be revived by the Holy Spirit so that they can give life to those who are dead in spirit.

He explained that this revival should be witnessed in every aspect of the Christian’s life which brings great impact and transformation, while adding that God is ever ready to cause the revival.

The Kasoa Area Head also indicated that as part of the agenda to transform the world, the church must yearn after the Holy Spirit for revival.

Using the deer as a case study, Apostle Asare explained that the deer pants for water because its life depends on it. According to him, water is its only source of survival from predators as it runs into the water to hide and prevent the predator from perceiving its smell.

He noted that just like the deer, a lot of things are pursuing people, including Christians in life. But there is hope in Jesus who is the saviour of the world, saying, ‘If a Christian runs to Christ, he or she is saved from all that is pursuing him.’

Apostle James Kwabena Asare went on to explain that there is a need for revival because some people’s prayer life, fasting life, giving life and love for the Holy Spirit have gone down, adding that revival brings a renewal of life to the believer and a new life to the unbeliever. Therefore, when there is revival, more souls are won for God.

Historic Pentecost 2024 Conference Takes Off In Germany2 web

Historic Pentecost 2024 Conference Takes Off In Germany

The biggest Pentecostal gathering is taking place in the city of Oberhausen, Germany with about 4,000 participants from the world over expected in attendance.

The historic event officially began on Wednesday night, May 15, 2024, at the Rudolf Weber Arena, Oberhausen.

The power-pack, spirit-filled and electrifying event, which is expected to end on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024, is under the theme: ‘A People of God Unleashed to Transform Their World’ – 1 Peter 2:9, Acts 1:8.

The opening session of the maiden Pentecost 2024 event welcomed participants from the host country, Germany, as well as from the Netherlands, US, UK, Australia, China, South Korea, and a massive delegation from Ghana, where the Church is headquartered.

The session began with soul-lifting song ministrations and worship led by the venerable Pastor John Angoh and the Pentecost 2024 Mass choir. Renowned gospel musician from Nigeria, Sunmisola, also graced the stage and led participants through a time of soothing gospel songs to set the stage for the word ministration by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

Opening the conference with a powerful sermon, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), gave a hint that the Pentecost 2024 is a dress rehearsal of Pentecost 2026, which would be more mega than the maiden one.

Speaking on the topic, ‘The Church in God’s Plan of Redemption’ with the anchor scripture taken from Genesis 12:1-3.

Tracing the origin of the Israelite people and why God selected them as His own, Apostle Nyamekye revealed that God specifically chose them to show His glory to the rest of the world, though the whole world is for God.

He indicated that out of Israel came the Messiah of the world, Jesus Christ, who came with the new order, the Church.

According to him, sometimes people think that Israel failed God, but that is not the case, saying, ‘Once God chooses you, He will not allow you to fail.’

He explained that in the mind of God what will bring redemption is the seed from the womb of the woman. Once Israel produced the Messiah, Israel’s work is finished.

Chairman Nyamekye pointed out that with the coming of Christ the old order (Jews and the Gentiles) has been rendered obsolete, there is a new order (the Church).

Further reading from Romans 10:9-11, he said that with the new order there is no difference Jews and Gentiles, since God is bringing all people from various races together in Christ, saying, ‘It doesn’t matter whether you are rich or poor, white or black, anyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved.’

He stated that the Church is a mystery that has been revealed to the world. It is the most powerful institution on the earth, being the extension of the family of God in heaven.

‘The Church now takes the position of Israel,’ he said, adding, ‘Through us (the Church), the world will be blessed.’

The International Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, led the participant in a time of trilling prayers after the sermon.

After a night filled with inspiring music, powerful word ministrations, and intense prayers, the Pentecost 2024 conference is expected to kickstart a global revival as it coincides with the celebration of Pentecost Week, 50 days after the commemoration of Easter.

Maase District Retires 4 Officers

The Maase District in the Old Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a retirement service for four officers, including an elder and three deaconesses who have meritoriously served the Church in various capacities.

Officiated by Apostle Isaac Kwasi Amoako (rtd) on behalf of the Area Head, Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful, with assistance from the District Minister, Pastor Francis Kweku Anank, the service, which took place on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Maase Central Assembly auditorium attracted a high turnout.

The retirees, Elder Christian Agyekum served for 24 years, and Deaconesses Rose Wireko, Leticia Asare as well as Ataa Rose who also served for 34, 26 and 24 years respectively, were each presented with a citation, certificate of service, and an undisclosed amount of cash in recognition of their invaluable and committed services to God and the Church.

Speaking at the event on the topic: “We are Unworthy Servants,” based on Luke 17:7-10, Apostle I. K Amoako (rtd) emphasised the importance of officers understanding their calling as a grace from God and serving in all capacities to build Cod’s Church.

He drew comparisons between the workers of God in the Old Testament and the present grace-filled era, urging the congregation to approach their service with humility and see themselves as unworthy servants entrusted with God’s work. By embracing this mindset, he said, Christinas can fulfill their divine purpose and bring glory to God.

Apostle I. K Amoako commended the retirees for service to God and encouraged young officers to serve with dedication and commitment, reminding them that there is always a reward for a faithful service.

The retirees acknowledged God and the Church for the opportunity to serve and the befitting retirement service held in their honour.

Present at the service were Pastor Emmanuel Otu-Djan (Pankrono District Minister and Area Secretary), Mrs. Theresa Anank (Wife of the District Minister), Pastor Owusu Aboagye (rtd), among others.

Raise The Next Generation To Go Far In Life — Mrs Nyamekye Charges Christian Women

The wife of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Mrs Mary Nyamekye, has charged Christian women, particularly leaders, to intentionally identify children in the church and care for their spiritual, physical and material wellbeing to secure them a brighter future.

Speaking on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the La Area Women’s Ministry Joint Service held at the Dr Wyatt Worship Centre, Accra Newtown, to kick-start the 2024 Women’s Week celebration, Mrs Nyamekye admonished women to take their rightful positions in the church as mothers and builders of the next generation.

Present at the well-attended service were Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe (La Area Head and Executive Council Member of the church) and his wife, Mrs Juanita Toffa-Nuekpe, the Area Women’s Ministry Executive Committee members as well as the La Area pastorate and their wives.

Speaking on the theme, ‘Women of God unleashed to transform their world with values and principles of the Kingdom of God,’ Mrs Nyamekye stated that Jesus’ death has brought believers from darkness into the light as found in 1 Peter 2:9-10.

Using herself as an example, she mentioned how, at her second station, a teacher named Maame Manubea (now 74 years old) became her second mother by supporting her with prayers, advice and her children’s academics. She has since been visiting them even up until now.

Mrs Nyamekye urged women to take active part in the activities of the church and get closer to their pastors in order to receive blessings and also engage in intercessory prayers for signs and wonders to follow.

She recounted how at the inception of the church, women helped to carry the travelling boxes of pastors, supported the church financially and served in the local church.

Using the Proverbs 31 woman as a model, Mrs Nyamekye encouraged women in the church to respect their husbands, take good care of their children, have a gentle spirit, dress decently and be mindful of their speech, both in public and at home as is found in Proverbs 31:26.

She admonished women not to neglect the home by reading the Bible with their children, telling them stories of old, teaching them how to dress properly.

This year’s bi-annual Women’s Ministry Week celebration will run from 7-12 May 2024.
