Jericho English Assembly Holds Maiden Teen Boot Camp

The Youth Ministry of the Jericho English Assembly in the Jericho District of the Ashaiman Area has held its maiden Teen Boot Camp, with a call on participants to model godly lifestyles wherever they find themselves.

The event, held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the M. K. Yeboah Auditorium, brought together about seventy (70) teenagers from the Assembly. It was themed “A Perfect Teen: Grounded in Christ and Unleashed for Kingdom Impact” (Deut. 6:5; Col. 2:7; 1 Tim. 4:12).

In his welcome address, Pastor Samuel Augustine Amoakohene, the District Pastor, explained that the boot camp was organised to help the teens understand their value and worth in Christ and to learn how to apply biblical principles to their daily lives.
He urged the participants to put into practice all they would be taught, saying:

“Whatever you learn here, demonstrate it out there to make a positive impact in your community.”

Elder Keith Ackah, Presiding Elder of the Jericho English Assembly, spoke on “Spiritual Fruits in Living a Godly Life.” He admonished the teens to depend on the Holy Spirit, who alone can manifest God’s image in them.

“Walk in love, find joy in serving God, and pray for the grace to exercise self-control in all situations,” he encouraged.

Speaking on “Navigating Your Teenage Years,” Elder Samuel Kofi Annan, Jericho District Youth Ministry Leader, described the teenage period as a critical stage for identity, choices, and faith development. He highlighted peer pressure, identity crisis, temptations, and conflicts with authority as major challenges teens face.

“God desires you to live as examples of His light. Build your personal faith, choose friends wisely, and obey God and your parents—these will help you navigate this important phase of life,” he advised.

The Ashaiman Area Ministry to Teens Coordinator, Deaconess Patience Gavor Hamenu, also encouraged the teens to build strong spiritual foundations to become instruments of transformation in their generation. Drawing examples from biblical figures such as Josiah and David, she said:

“Cultivate a consistent prayer life, study the Word daily, and develop a strong worship lifestyle. Fellowship is key to your spiritual maturity, show love and obedience at all times.”

A health talk session, facilitated by two professional medical personnel, educated the participants on personal hygiene and teen confidence in managing their sexuality.

According to Lady Deaconess Esther Narh, Local Youth Ministry Leader, the boot camp sought to help teens gain a deeper understanding of their identity and purpose in Christ while developing meaningful relationships with peers and mentors. She disclosed that the Teen Boot Camp would become an annual event on the Assembly’s calendar.

One of the highlights of the day was a creative session, where the teens showcased their talents through painting and drawing, expressing their faith and creativity in Christ-centered art.

ELDER NANABANYIN BARNES & FAMILY DONATE CHURCH BUILDING TO SERIPE ASSEMBLY web

Elder Nanabanyin Barnes & Family Donate Church Building To Seripe Assembly

Elder Nanabanyin Barnes and his family, members of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Manchester, United Kingdom, have constructed and donated a fully furnished church building valued at GHS 165,080.00 to the Seripe Assembly in the Sakpa District of the Sawla Area.

The building, which replaces the church’s former mud structure, was dedicated on Friday, October 10, 2025, in a colourful ceremony attended by the benefactor, Elder Nanabanyin Barnes, ministers of the Church, traditional leaders, and members of the community.

The Sawla Area Head, Apostle Frederick Obboh, assisted by the Sakpa District Minister, Overseer Solomon Dzitse, dedicated the new church building on behalf of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye.

Delivering a sermon on the theme “Do Not Leave Jerusalem,” Pastor Godfred Osei-Frimpong, Bole District Minister, admonished Christians to remain steadfast in Christ and in the Church, drawing lessons from 1 Kings 2, Acts 1:4, and Luke 10:30. He emphasised that staying connected to Christ and the Church brings salvation, protection, empowerment, and blessing, while straying exposes believers to spiritual danger.

The dedication service attracted several dignitaries, including Mrs. Joana Mina Obboh (wife of the Area Head), and ministers from various districts. Also in attendance were the Chief of Seripe (Seripewura) and other traditional leaders.

In appreciation, Apostle Obboh led the congregation in a prayer of blessing for Elder Barnes and his family for their remarkable act of generosity.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Church, Overseer Dzitse thanked Apostle and Mrs. Obboh, Elder Barnes, and his family for their support, describing the donation as a major answer to prayer and a lasting legacy that has provided the Seripe Assembly with a befitting place of worship after years of meeting under trees and in a temporary structure.

Nyankpala District Donates Sanitary Items To 200 Schoolgirls

As part of efforts to promote girl-child education and community well-being, the Nyankpala District of The Church of Pentecost, under the Tamale Area, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, donated sanitary items to 200 female students of UDS Basic Junior High School and St. Monica’s Catholic Basic School (Upper Primary and JHS) in Nyankpala.

The exercise formed part of activities marking the National Youth Week Celebration and the International Day of the Girl Child, in line with the Church’s “Possessing the Nations” agenda, which seeks to influence every sphere of society with Kingdom values and principles. Each student received packs of sanitary items to promote menstrual hygiene and reduce absenteeism among girls during their menstrual periods; a challenge faced by many who cannot afford these essentials.

Speaking on the purpose of the donation, the District Pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Ofori Opare, explained that the initiative sought to support girls who struggle to afford sanitary pads, ensure that menstruation does not hinder school attendance, and strengthen the bond between the Church and the community. He added that it also provided a platform to share the love and Word of God with the youth while nurturing them in godly values.

Alongside the donation, a special chaplaincy service was held for the students. The Word of God was ministered to over 300 girls, while the boys were also engaged in moral and spiritual guidance sessions. This forms part of the District’s ongoing school outreach programme, where regular Wednesday services are held to disciple students and shape their moral lives.

The District Pastor was accompanied by Elder Dr. Richard Osei Agyemang (District Secretary), Elder Matthew Achaklinkame (District Youth Leader), Deaconess Mary Azuma (District Women’s Ministry Leader), Mrs. Gloria Ofori Opare (wife of the District Pastor), and other District Youth Executives who supported the exercise.

Head teachers of the beneficiary schools – Mr. Ibrahim Saka (UDS Basic JHS), Mr. Simon Dumba (St. Monica’s JHS), and Mr. Fuseini Sulle (St. Monica’s Primary) – expressed deep appreciation to The Church of Pentecost for the timely intervention. They commended Pastor Ofori Opare, his wife, and the District leadership for their compassion and commitment to the welfare of students, noting that the donation would go a long way to boost the girls’ confidence, attendance, and academic performance.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ms. Wumpini Alhasan Zeihan, the Girls’ Prefect of UDS Basic JHS, also thanked the Church for the kind gesture, saying it would “help reduce absenteeism among girls during their menstruation and improve their focus in class.”

Through this outreach, the Nyankpala District once again demonstrated that the gospel is not only to be preached in words but lived out through acts of love and service. The District continues to embody the vision of “Possessing the Nations” by transforming lives spiritually, morally, and socially to the glory of God.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

Other Sheep Ministry Holds Capacity-Building Retreat At PCC Brofoyedru; 138 Souls Won For Christ

The Other Sheep Ministry of The Church of Pentecost held a three-day Capacity-Building Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Brofoyedru, in the Kwadaso Area from October 1 to 3, 2025. The conference was crowned with a gospel outreach at Kotwi Township, which, by the grace of God, yielded 138 souls for the Lord.

The “Go Ye” Team of the Other Sheep Ministry from Accra arrived at PCC-Brofoyedru on October 1, 2025, and, together with the Kwadaso Area team, engaged in an intense prayer session to prepare spiritually for the programme.

On the second day, the National Coordinator of the Ministry, Evangelist Abraham Addae Agyemang, expounded on the vision, mission, core functions, and strategic plan of the Other Sheep Ministry. Drawing insights from Luke 10:16–20, he reminded participants that “Jesus is with us even as He sends us. He is the only One who sends and yet accompanies the sent.”

He further explained that those whom Jesus sent to evangelize returned rejoicing because even demonic spirits submitted to them. “Jesus, who was with them, also said He saw Satan fall like lightning,” he stated. Evangelist Agyemang encouraged believers to rejoice, not merely in miracles, but because their names are written in the Book of Life. He also urged the participants to walk in obedience to Christ’s command to “heal the sick and raise the dead” as they go about soul-winning.

The National Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Daniel Gyekye, facilitated a session on how to practically share the gospel with people of other faiths. Pastor Isaac Dome also equipped participants with the One-Minute Witness approach to gospel presentation.

In addition, Pastor Simon Dorsonu, the Kwadaso Area Coordinator, and Pastor Luke Nemen Sei, a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC), led participants in intensive intercessory prayers to prepare the spiritual atmosphere for evangelism.

On the final day, participants were divided into ten teams of seven members each and deployed into the Kotwi community to proclaim the gospel. To the glory of God, their efforts resulted in the salvation of 138 souls.

Witnesses Or Suspects Pastor Twumasi Challenges Youth To Live As True Ambassadors Of Christ

In a passionate exhortation marking the launch of the Church of Pentecost’s National Youth Week at the Kasoa CP District, Pastor Emmanuel Twumasi has charged young believers to embrace their divine calling as witnesses of Jesus Christ and not mere spectators of the faith.

Preaching from Acts 1:8, Pastor Twumasi underscored that the power of the Holy Spirit is not given for self-display but to empower believers to boldly proclaim the mercy, salvation, and restoration found in Christ.

“If you can speak in tongues for hours but will not tell others about this Jesus,” he challenged, “then you are a suspect.”

Using vivid legal imagery, Pastor Twumasi likened believers to either witnessesor suspects in God’s courtroom, urging the youth to assess whether they are fulfilling their divine assignment or standing accused of spiritual negligence and hypocrisy.

He explained that true evidence of Spirit-filled living is not limited to charismatic expression but must overflow into bold, compassionate witness.

“Everyone who speaks in tongues must also be able to tell someone about the love of God,” he stated.

Encouraging the youth to rise in the power of the Spirit, he emphasized that salvation lies in the message of Christ, not in personal achievements, self-promotion, or organizational publicity. “Jesus said, you will be my witnesses,” he reiterated.

Pastor Twumasi further urged the young people to demonstrate transformation in their conduct and character as proof of genuine faith.

“Our testimony must include visible improvement in our lifestyle, such as breaking addictions and living above sin by God’s power,” he said.

The sermon, delivered at the district launch on Monday, was both a call to self-examination and a rallying cry for Spirit-empowered evangelism; a reminder that every believer is called to represent Christ through word, action, and lifestyle.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, NLT)

In closing, Pastor Twumasi urged the congregation: “O people of the Holy Spirit, go and tell about Jesus! Tell of His mighty power to save!”

Sabuli District Launches Children’s Club to Nurture, Disciple Young Lives

The Sabuli District of The Church of Pentecost has launched the Sabuli Children’s Club, a transformative initiative designed to nurture, empower, and disciple children in the Sabuli community and beyond. The colourful event took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Sabuli District Mission House in the Wa Area.

By the grace of God, a total of 95 people attended the launch, including children from diverse backgrounds – some who do not attend church and others from different religious faiths. This diversity, according to organisers, reflects the inclusive and missionary vision of the club, which seeks to reach all children with the love of Christ.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the children participated in the programme, which also featured the sharing of assorted drinks and biscuits. A special highlight of the day was the celebration of the birthday of Mrs. Dorcas Enyinful, wife of the District Pastor, whose dedication and efforts were instrumental in bringing the initiative to life.

In alignment with Vision 2028 of The Church of Pentecost, which seeks to possess the nations by transforming every sphere of society with Kingdom values and principles, the Sabuli Children’s Club has been established to win, wean, and unleash children as agents of transformation in their communities.

The organisers expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Wa Area Head, Apostle Bernard Azizu Mohammed Abogorago, and his wife, Mrs. Vida Abogorago, for their invaluable counsel, support, and prayers towards the success of the launch and the growth of the ministry in Sabuli.

The Sabuli Children’s Club will meet every Saturday at 3:00 p.m., and the leadership is confident that, by the grace of God, the initiative will make a lasting impact on many young lives.

Serve Wholeheartedly To Possess The Nations – Apostle Frimpong-Manso Urges

The Bogoso Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Daniel Frimpong-Manso, has called on Christians, particularly church leaders and workers, to serve God wholeheartedly in fulfilling the divine mandate to Possess the Nations.”

He made the call during an orientation service held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, for newly transferred ministers and newly appointed Area officers at the Bogoso Area Office. Speaking on the theme, “Unleashed to Work Wholeheartedly to Possess the Nations,” with scripture references from 2 Chronicles 31:20–21 and 1 Corinthians 15:58, Apostle Frimpong-Manso encouraged believers to give their utmost dedication to the work of God.

Quoting from 2 Chronicles 31:20–21, he said: “This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.”

Apostle Frimpong-Manso noted that God has highly honoured Christians, especially those who serve in His vineyard, and reminded the congregation that service to God is not based on human merit but on grace. He therefore admonished believers not to take this grace for granted but to serve joyfully and faithfully in every role.

He described serving the Lord as both a calling and a blessing, urging participants to count it a privilege to be chosen as part of God’s workforce. Drawing lessons from the life of King Hezekiah, he explained that although Hezekiah was born into idolatry, he chose to walk faithfully with God, becoming a model for all believers who seek to please God in their generation.

The Apostle outlined key actions that earned King Hezekiah divine favour; removing the Asherah poles and cleansing Judah of idol worship, destroying the gods raised by his father and renouncing ungodly traditions, opening the doors of the temple to restore true worship, reinstating the duties of the priests and Levites to reestablish spiritual order, and upholding the supremacy of God in the social life of the people. These, he said, demonstrate wholehearted service that leads to divine prosperity and lasting impact.

Apostle Frimpong-Manso, however, reminded the gathering that wholehearted service does not exempt believers from trials, citing Hezekiah’s sickness as an example. “Hezekiah faced severe sickness that brought him near death,” he said. “But challenges in life and ministry do not always mean sin; sometimes, they are divine tests that prepare us for greater glory.”

He added that God often uses such experiences to reveal His power and strengthen believers’ faith, emphasizing that when one serves wholeheartedly, God responds with mercy and restoration.

Highlighting lessons from Hezekiah’s life, Apostle Frimpong-Manso mentioned that God extended his life by fifteen years, delivered Judah from the Assyrian king Sennacherib without the use of swords or chariots, and prospered all the works of his hands because he sought the Lord with a loyal heart.

He, therefore, urged ministers and workers to emulate Hezekiah’s example by being diligent in their service, remaining humble after victories, and staying focused on God’s purpose.

Concluding his message, Apostle Frimpong-Manso said: “The prosperity and testimonies we desire in our lives and ministries come only when we seek God and work wholeheartedly for Him. As we labour to possess the nations, may we do so faithfully, joyfully, and with excellence.”

Evangelism Is A Command And A Privilege Proofread web

Evangelism Is A Command, Privilege — Pastor Enoch Amoah Asserts

The Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Assin Foso, Pastor Enoch Amoah, has urged believers, especially the youth, to embrace evangelism as both a divine command and a sacred privilege. He made this passionate appeal when he delivered a message titled “Unleashed to Go and Tell” at the launch of the National Youth Week.

Basing his sermon on John 1:40–42, Matthew 28:18–20, and Exodus 3, Pastor Amoah reminded the congregation that the Great Commission is not a suggestion but a clear instruction from Christ Himself. He explained that the Gospel “is not like pollen grains that drift with the wind; it does not spread by accident. It spreads only when Spirit-filled men and women intentionally carry the message of salvation to others.”

Expounding further, he noted that to “Go and Tell” means stepping out of one’s comfort zone to reach the lost, the broken, and the forgotten with the transforming message of Jesus Christ. “It means taking the Gospel beyond the church walls; into homes, streets, workplaces, schools, hospitals, markets, and even digital spaces like WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok. Wherever there are people, there must be messengers of the Gospel,” he emphasized.

Pastor Amoah described evangelism as both a command and a privilege. “We go because souls are perishing; we tell because Christ has already given us the power and authority to do so,” he stated. Drawing parallels with biblical figures, he added, “Just as Moses was sent to deliver Israel and Paul was sent to the Gentiles, every believer today is sent to their generation.” He affirmed that obedience to this call brings joy to heaven, transformation to lives, and advancement to the Kingdom of God.

Referencing the 2024 SOCA (Souls Outreach and Consolidation Awards) report, Pastor Amoah commended Elder Godson Boateng, Deacon Charles Addae, Deaconess Comfort Korsa, and Miss Beatrice Dzotepe for winning 1,024, 92, 90, and 12 souls respectively. Their commitment, he said, exemplifies what it means to live out the “Go and Tell” mandate.

With children and youth forming 76.5% of the Church’s total membership, Pastor Amoah called on young people to rise as bold witnesses of Christ in their generation.

In a rousing conclusion, he declared, “We have been unleashed to go and tell — no excuses! The mission is defined, the methods are ready, the message is known, and the power is already given. What are we waiting for? Let us go and tell!”

Youth Urged to Go, Tell, bring Souls To Christ Proofread web

Youth Urged to Go, Tell, Bring Souls to Christ

The opening session of the National Youth Week Celebration, held at the Firestone Worship Centre in the Madina Area, was marked by a stirring call to action from the Resident Minister, Pastor James Kusi Owusu. Preaching under the theme “Unleashed to Go and Tell,”Pastor Owusu exhorted the youth not only to “Go and Tell” but to “Go, Tell, and Bring” souls to Christ for discipleship.

Taking his main scripture from John 1:35–45, Pastor Owusu illustrated how the first disciples came to know and follow Jesus. Referring to John 1:40–41, he explained that the first thing Andrew did after encountering Christ was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah.” Likewise, Philip went in search of Nathanael to share the same good news. “Many people around us are just waiting to hear someone speak to them about Jesus,” Pastor Owusu noted, urging the youth to take the initiative to reach out.

He further observed how John the Baptist introduced Jesus to two of his disciples as “the Lamb of God,” and how that simple witness led them to follow Jesus and spend time with Him – an encounter that transformed their lives. “Like John, every believer must point others to Christ through both word and witness,” he emphasized.

Quoting Luke 14:21–23, Pastor Owusu called on the youth to go beyond telling to bringingsouls into the Kingdom. He recounted how, in the parable, the master commanded his servants to go into the streets and compel people to come until the house was full. “This ‘compel’ does not mean coercion,” he clarified, “but rather a passionate persuasion driven by love and urgency.”

Encouraging the youth to overcome fear and timidity in witnessing, Pastor Owusu challenged them to engage the Go and Tell mandate with zeal and boldness. “Leave no individual you meet unspoken to,” he charged, reminding the young people that the world is their mission field and every encounter is an opportunity to share Christ.
