The Berekum Area of The Church of Pentecost has dedicated a new Area Office Complex.

The GH₵900,501.31 facility, located at New Biadan in the Berekum Municipality, was dedicated by Apostle Mark Obeng Andoh, the Sunyani Area Head who is also the Chairman of Bono, Ahafo and Bono East Regional Coordinating Committee, on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

In a message titled, “The Pillar and Foundation of Truth,” Apostle Andoh quoted 1 Timothy 3:14-15 and explained that the pillar and foundation of the truth is the Church (believers), not the physical building which Jesus promised to build. “It is against this background that Paul admonished Timothy to conduct himself in the ways of God and to train others to be likewise,” he indicated.

The Apostle Andoh, who is an Executive Council Member of the Church, admonished Christians to conduct themselves well since they are the Church of God. “If the Christian does not conduct him/herself well, they make the pillars weak,” he said, adding, “Weak pillars will not be able to carry a building.”

He revealed that Jesus is the truth, and the believer is the pillar that is supposed to carry the truth to the ends of the earth, saying, “You are to do this by proclaiming the gospel about Jesus Christ to every nation and town/village. The gospel must be preached in word and in character.”

He commended the Area Head of Berekum, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah, and the entire membership for the good work done and the faithfulness demonstrated in constructing the beautiful edifice.

The office complex which was started in 2013 by Apostle Martin Seth Appiah, the then Area Head, has offices for the Area Head, Area Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Area Deacon, Accounts Officer and all Ministries. The facility also has a 300-seater conference hall, Youth Resource Centre, kitchen, cafeteria and dormitories, among others.

In attendance were the Area Head of Tepa, Pastor Frimpong Manso, the Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II, and the Omanhene of Suma Traditional Area, Odeneho Dr Affram Brempong III, among other dignitaries.
