The Axim Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Philip Osei-Korsah, on December 21, 2019, donated food items and toiletries to the Ampain Refugee Camp located in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
This kind gesture was to help put smiles on the faces of the refugees living in the camp, who are predominantly Ivorian nationals.
Receiving the items on behalf of the refugees, the Camp Manager, Mr Joachim Somevie, was very grateful for the donation.
He also spoke of the long-standing relationship between the camp and The Church of Pentecost which dates back to 2011, when the church assisted them in providing accommodation outside the camp for some of the refugees who were displaced due to the hostilities that followed the November 2010 Presidential elections held in Côte d’Ivoire.
