Atorkor District Donates PPEs To Local Assemblies

The Atorkor District in the Aflao Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated 19 Veronica buckets and 1800 face mask worth GHS 3,500.00 to the local assemblies in the district.

The beneficiary local assemblies were Central, Whuti, Atiehepe, Srogbe, Anyanui, Dzita, Torvito, English, Agledomi, Atiteti, Bomigo, Genui and Antech-Basic.

The rest were Aplowortokor, Weme, Fuveme, Adzidokpo, Averdzeto and Gblipe assemblies.

The District Minister, Pastor Kweku Appiah-Kubi Annan, in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS, explained that the donation was part of the district’s practical steps in ensuring that the local churches are equipped in curtailing the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“The local assemblies have worked so hard in meeting all the requirements and the protocols for the partial opening of churches. We thought it very prudent to support them with these items to supplement what they have already done,” Pastor Annan indicated.

Pastor Annan used the opportunity to advise church leaders to ensure a strict adherence to the precautionary measures as outlined by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

He stressed the need for wearing facemask by all church members during church service.

“Wearing the face mask during church services is not easy but it will prevent infections. The face mask must be kept on until one closes from church and reaches home. This will reduce the risk of spread from asymptomatic carriers of the virus,” he said.

The Antech-Basic Assembly Presiding Elder, Kwami Kukuiah, on behalf of the beneficiary assemblies, expressed their gratitude to the district minister, for the kind gesture.
