The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has dedicated the newly constructed Kibi Central Assembly auditorium in the Suhum Area, charging Christians to demonstrate their faith through their conduct and influence in society.
Apostle Obuobi performed the dedication on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Kibi in the Eastern Region.
The newly dedicated auditorium marks a significant milestone in the history of Kibi Central Assembly, which began in 1955 with a small group of believers.
During the service the General Secretary preached a sermon titled “The Christian Life in the Public Space, explaining that the Church had been called out of the world by God and sent back into it to bring transformation, stressing that there should be no gap between Christians’ faith and practice, doctrine and ethics, confession and lifestyle, or private religiosity and public morality.
“Our works must authenticate our faith,” he emphasised, urging believers to carry the fragrance of their transformed lives into every sphere of society.
Using Jesus’ description of believers as the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world,” Apostle Obuobi said Christians must preserve society from decay and corruption while driving away darkness through their godly influence.
Drawing lessons from Nehemiah and Daniel, he highlighted integrity, excellence, prayerfulness and godly character as essential qualities for Christians seeking to make an impact in the public space.
He further reminded Christians of their identity as citizens of both earth and heaven, describing them as ambassadors of Christ, a royal and priestly people, and prophets to the nations. He urged believers to develop deep roots in Christ through prayer, fasting, studying the Word and other spiritual disciplines.
Apostle Obuobi also stressed the need for Christians to live out the Word, citing Ezra’s commitment to study, practise and teach God’s law.
The Kibi Central auditorium project, initiated through years of sacrifice by successive leaders and members, was completed at a total cost of GH¢2,444,181.58, with support from the Church’s Headquarters, the Suhum Area, Kibi District and the local assembly.
The facility is expected to serve as a centre for worship, prayer, discipleship and evangelism, while equipping believers to extend the transforming influence of the Gospel beyond the church auditorium and into society.
