In response to the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Afram Plains Area of The Church of Pentecost undertook a 4-day Mega Crusade at Ekye Amanfrom.
The Crusade which was held under the theme, “Lord, Save Us!” (Matthew 8:25), took place from November 20 to 23, 2018. A total of 129 persons were won for the Lord with 88 of them baptized by immersion.
The morning sessions of the crusade took place at the Ekye Amanfrom Central Church building while the evening sessions took place at the Ekye Amanfrom Market Square. The morning sessions were devoted to teachings, prayer, worship, healing, and deliverance. The evening sessions which recorded an average attendance of 1,300 participants were for the propagation of the gospel.
In attendance were Apostle William Boakye Agyarko, the Afram Plains Area Head; Pastor Ahmed Anane Acheampong, a guest speaker from Mmeredane District in Sunyani Area, and all ministers and wives in the Afram Plains Area.
Opening the crusade, Apostle William Boakye Agyarko, who spoke on the topic, “Lord, Save Us!” stated that no matter the miserable situation a person finds him or herself, Jesus has the power to save them from it.
He continued that it is not too late for a sinner to be saved provided he or she calls upon the name of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus Christ was crucified for the sin of the world and repentance is the gateway for the salvation of the sinner,” he stated.
Pastor Ahmed Acheampong who ministered at both morning and evening sessions was used mightily by the Holy Spirit.
Pastors Stephen Mensah, Isaac Baah Yeboah, and Francis Teye Kanor were the other speakers at the event.
