A-Lang Worship Centre Clears Filth, Donates Bins To Odorgonno SHS

A-Lang Worship Centre in the Odorkor Area of The Church of Pentecost, in collaboration with the Odorgonno Senior High School, organized a massive clean-up exercise in the A-Lang/Awoshie community on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in line with the Church’s Environmental Care Campaign.

The purpose of the exercise was to tidy up the compound of the School and the streets of the A-Lang/Awoshie community and also sensitize the students on the need to keep the environment clean.

The exercise, which was participated by members of the Church and students of Odorgonno SHS, resulted in the desilting of choked gutters and waterways, as well as the clearing of filth in and around the school compound.

As part of the exercise, the Church donated 4 dustbins and some long brooms to the school. The items were presented by the Resident Minister, Pastor Francis Broni, to officials of the School.

Pastor Broni urged them to endeavour to keep the environment clean in order to preserve the earth for human existence. He advised them to pay particular attention to sanitary conditions in the school to avoid the spread of diseases.

He also thanked the students for their massive support in the clean-up exercise. He advised the students to take their studies seriously and not allow anything to distract them from their core purpose of being in school, which is to learn.

Receiving the items on behalf of the School, the Senior House Master, Mr. Daniel Tetteh, thanked the Church for the kind donation and also commended the Church for the great work done.

Also present were the Senior House Mistress, Mrs. Naomi Vanderpuije, as well as Mr. James Hagan and Richard Arkon, both Staff of the School.

Pastor Francis Broni also interacted with members of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) branch of the School.
