The National Head of The Church of Pentecost in Liberia, Apostle Massaboi Zuwu, has asserted that Christians are one people irrespective of the differences in their colour, upbringing, orientations, geographical locations and status since they are a community of God’s household.

According to him, they have all been born into one covenant which is the blood of Jesus Christ and also baptised into one Spirit, who is the Holy Spirit, making them connected to one source – the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Although we are from diverse backgrounds and ethnic groups, we should be able to celebrate our diversity in unity to portray the glory of God.

“Outside of Christ, society defines us by colour, nationality and status, but in Christ, we are all one family. So when I look at you, I don’t see a black or white man; I see a child of God,” he stated.

Apostle Zuwu said this in a presentation on “The Power and Beauty of Christian Fellowship” at the ongoing 7th Ministers and Wives’ Conference of The Church of Pentecost at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

He indicated that as a community of God’s household, the lifestyles of believers must show forth the praise of God.

He stressed that Christian fellowship is such an effective tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit that, it has the capacity to show forth the power and beauty of Christ in the church to the world.

He, however, said that people in the church today are becoming increasingly individualistic in their attitudes and lifestyles towards their fellow believers.

For him, it takes maturity in Christ or spiritual maturity for Christians to be able to celebrate their diversities.

“Sometimes, we have a challenge in celebrating people’s success. But as matured Christians, and as brothers and sisters in the Kingdom, we should grow up to the level of maturity where we will be able to celebrate the successes of our brothers.

“The success of your brother is your success, the failure of your brother is your failure. All of us are connected to Christ, so if one of us fails, all of us have failed; when one of us succeeds, all of us have succeeded,” he revealed.

The National Head noted that in Christian fellowship, there is power as God releases his fullness unto the church to help believers fulfil that which the Lord has destined for them.

He explained that in Christian fellowship, everyone benefits both physically and spiritually as they share and gain from God.

Apostle Massaboi Zuwu called on Christians to be one and demonstrate the love of God towards one another since they have been made co-heirs with Christ.

“Fellowship is an important part of our Christian Faith. Coming together in fellowship to support and encourage one another is an important Christian principle (Heb. 10:24-25) Christian fellowship allows us to learn, gain strength, and show the world the beauty of our love and unity in Christ. This is a testimony that affirms our Christian witness,” he stated.
