The Pentecost International Worship Centre, Nsawam  (PIWC-Nsawam) in Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost, has organised a 4-day Business Summit aimed at educating its members on wealth creation and entrepreneurship.

The summit, which took place from September 18 to 22, 2019 at the church premises, was on the theme, “Transformation Through Wealth Creation.”

Opening the event on Wednesday, September 18, the Resident Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Osei-Akosah, challenged the participants to work hard and also trust in God for their success and prosperity.

Pastor Osei-Akosah indicated the need for Christians to remain steadfast in God because it is the Lord that blesses. “God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness and it is our duty as Christians to possess them,” he stressed.

The Financial Planner and Business Development Manager of Ecobank Ghana, Mr Selassie Kwashie, challenged Christians to be hardworking in order to create wealth for their enjoyment during their old age. “Your money will work for you when you are old and unable to work again,” he said. He advised Christians to reduce unnecessary expenditure.

The Acting Head of Business Development, Ecobank Capital, Mrs Elizabeth Odametey, also spoke on Financial Independence. She stated: “Financial independence starts from the mind and, therefore, see it as a possibility.”

She advised Christians to invest in treasury bills and fixed deposits.

A radio presenter and Chief Executive Officer of Afrakoma Community Hospital, Amasaman, Mr Odi-Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah, also admonished Christians not to underestimate their potentials irrespective of the challenges that confront them.

He stated that to be successful in life, one needs to fear the Lord and also pay their tithes faithfully. “Moreover, you need to apply wisdom in managing your life in order to be successful,” he said.

Speaking at the climax of the summit, the Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Group of Companies, Elder Dr Nana Samuel Amo Tobbin, said that God delights in the prosperity and welfare of Christians.

Interspersing the talk with his personal testimonies and experiences, Elder Dr Amo Tobbin said: “One of the things that bring success in life is paying your tithe faithfully to the Lord and being honest in your business.”

He reiterated that Christians are empowered to solving problems which could result in their greatness and promotion. He exposed the participants to how to apply godly wisdom in opening and maintenance of a business.
