Elder Emmanuel Kwame Atta Avornyo, a member of the Ho Area Executive Committee of The Church of Pentecost and Presiding Elder of the Ho Dome Central Assembly, has been enstooled as the Divisional Chief of Tanyingbe Dzafe under the stool name, Torgbui Amekokorokoe Sunu III.

Prior to his formal enstoolment and outdooring, the Royal Family of Tanyingbe Dzafe confined him to the Stool Room on May 24, 2026, in accordance with customary tradition. The colourful enstoolment ceremony was held on June 2, 2026, attracting a large gathering of church leaders, traditional authorities, and community members.

Among the dignitaries present were Apostle Benjamin Aboagye, Aflao Area Head; Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, Sogakope Area Head; members of the Ho Area Executive Committee; the Ho Area Chieftaincy Committee Chairman, Togbe Adza Osei VII; and the Area Chieftaincy Coordinator, Pastor Alfred Agbetsiafa. Ministers from the Ho Municipal Zone, Aflao Area, and Sogakope Area, as well as officers and members of the Church, also attended the ceremony.

Delivering the sermon, Apostle Benjamin Aboagye spoke on the theme, “The King After God’s Own Heart,” based on Acts 13:21-24. He encouraged traditional leaders to emulate the godly character and leadership qualities exemplified by King David. The event also witnessed the salvation of two souls, who gave their lives to Christ.

On June 7, 2026, Torgbui Amekokorokoe Sunu III, accompanied by his entourage and family members, paid a thanksgiving visit to the Ho Dome Central Assembly, where he serves as Presiding Elder. During the service, he expressed gratitude to God for a successful and peaceful coronation and thanked the church leadership, members, family, and friends for their prayers and support throughout the traditional process.

The thanksgiving service coincided with Communion Sunday, creating a memorable occasion of worship, thanksgiving, and reflection on Christ’s sacrifice. The event also highlighted the harmonious relationship between traditional leadership and Christian faith, as exemplified by the newly enstooled chief’s continued commitment to God and His Church.
