The Atebubu Area, in collaboration with the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM), organised a one-day Easter Convention at Yeji Presbyterian Primary School (PPS) on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The programme aimed to empower students with the resurrection power of Christ as they prepared for their final examinations and vacation.

The historic event recorded the participation of over 900 students, many of whom opened their hearts for a divine encounter. Present at the programme were the Area Head, Pastor Richard Nyamekeh; Pastor Emmanuel Antara and his wife (Yejikrom District); Pastor Emmanuel Kru Frimpong and his wife (Yeji Nsuano District); Pastor Daniel Adu (Prang District); as well as other ministers and their wives within the Yeji Zone.

The sermon was delivered by the Area Head on the theme, “In the Last Days, I Will Pour Out My Spirit on All Flesh,” based on Ezekiel 36:25–27 and Joel 2:28–29. He admonished both teachers and students to be circumspect in their conduct and to recognise the great potential God has placed within them, so they would not live like slaves when God has destined them for greatness.

Emphasising the promise of the Holy Spirit to all flesh, the Area Head urged the students to desire the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The response was overwhelming, reminiscent of the experience on the Day of Pentecost.

At the close of the programme, 232 students received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues, while 305 souls were won to Christ. The atmosphere was filled with a strong sense of God’s presence, leaving participants spiritually refreshed and impacted.
