The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has commissioned Apostle Dr. Philip Osei Korsah, an Executive Council Member and Area Head for Nkawkaw, as the new Chairman of the Board of the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC).
The inauguration ceremony took place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Headquarters of The Church of Pentecost in Accra.
Apostle Dr. Osei Korsah takes over from Apostle Sylvester Ahin, whose tenure as Chairman of the PCC Board has come to an end.
Speaking at the ceremony, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi commended the leadership and previous boards of the Pentecost Convention Centre for their contributions towards the growth and development of the facility.
He noted that PCC had experienced significant growth over the years, with increasing patronage extending beyond members of The Church of Pentecost to include other churches and para-church organisations.
Apostle Obuobi acknowledged the efforts of successive boards in managing and developing the Centre, stressing that the leadership of the Church recognised and appreciated their dedication and contribution to the growth of PCC.
He explained that the inauguration of the new Board Chairman was intended to formally introduce Apostle Dr. Philip Osei Korsah to the Board and entrust him with the responsibility of leading the Centre into its next phase of development.
The General Secretary urged the new Board to sustain the growth trajectory of PCC and make it a preferred destination for organisations seeking quality Christian hospitality and conference facilities.
He said the Board must pay particular attention to improving the Centre’s operations, services and infrastructure to enhance its competitiveness and attractiveness.
“We expect the Board to develop the Centre such that it will become a centre of choice for every organisation. People should naturally want to be with us,” he stated.
Apostle Obuobi further encouraged the Board to explore innovative ways of expanding the Centre’s infrastructure and to remain proactive in anticipating future needs.
He urged the Board to “think outside the box” and develop strategic plans that would position PCC for sustainable growth and development.
“We believe that with God on your side, you will do much better than the previous Board,” he added.
In his response, Apostle Dr. Philip Osei Korsah expressed profound gratitude to God and the leadership of The Church of Pentecost for the confidence reposed in him through the appointment.
“I receive this appointment not as a position of eminence, but as a call to stewardship,” he said.
Apostle Dr. Osei Korsah expressed appreciation to the immediate past Chairman, Apostle Sylvester Ahin, and his Board for their dedicated service and for laying a solid foundation for the continued development of PCC.
He described the Pentecost Convention Centre as more than a physical facility, emphasising its strategic significance to the mission and vision of The Church of Pentecost.
“PCC is far more than a physical edifice. Sited on over 300 acres, PCC remains a Ghanaian eloquent statement to the world that God still dwells amongst His people,” he said.
He further described the facility as “a consecrated altar, mission field and strategic Kingdom-driven equipment for evangelism, leadership and discipleship.”
Apostle Dr. Osei Korsah pledged to pursue strategic governance and enabling leadership in collaboration with the Board and management of the Centre.
He expressed the vision of making PCC a leading Christian hospitality and conference destination in the global market.
He said this vision would be pursued through what he termed the “Three Es” – Excellence, Expansion and Eternal Impact.
The new Board Chairman expressed confidence that, through collective effort, strategic planning and reliance on God, PCC could attain greater levels of growth and impact in the years ahead.
The Pentecost Convention Centre, located at Millennium City near Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana, is one of The Church of Pentecost’s major facilities for conferences, retreats, training programmes, worship services and other Christian and corporate events.
