A new chapter has begun in the history of The Church of Pentecost in Burkina Faso following the induction of Apostle Issouf Loue as the new National Head of the Church.
Apostle Loue was formally inducted into office on Sunday, August 30, 2026, during the retirement service held in honour of Apostle Ousmane Patinde Zabre, who retired from active full-time ministry after 40 years of dedicated service to God and The Church of Pentecost.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Salle de Conférence de Ouaga 2000 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, therefore marked both the conclusion of an illustrious leadership season and the beginning of a new era for the Church in the West African nation.
The service was officiated by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, who formally inducted Apostle Loue and charged him to remain strong, courageous and steadfast as he assumes responsibility for leading the Church in Burkina Faso.
An economist by profession, Apostle Loue’s journey of faith and ministry spans more than three decades. He became a Christian in 1992 in the Bonoua District of Côte d’Ivoire and was ordained a Deacon in 1995.
Following his return to Burkina Faso, he was called to serve as an Elder in 1996, beginning a long journey of service and leadership within the Church.
Over the years, Apostle Loue served in several capacities, including as a National Deacon and a member of the National Executive Committee of The Church of Pentecost in Burkina Faso from 2013 to 2026.
On May 3, 2015, he responded to God’s call into pastoral ministry as a bi-vocational minister, combining his professional career with ministry.
He served as District Pastor of Ouaga 2000 from 2015 to August 2024, before being appointed Regional Head of Tanghin in September 2024, a position he held until August 2026.
In recognition of his calling and growing responsibility in ministry, Apostle Loue was called to the office of Apostle in 2025.
Professionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Economics, specialising in Development Economics and Management, as well as a university qualification in Sociology. He also had a distinguished career in Burkina Faso’s public administration as a Treasury Inspector, serving mainly at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
He concluded his administrative career in 2026 as a Head of Department within the Inspectorate General of Finance.
His appointment as National Head therefore brings together extensive experience in Christian ministry, public administration, leadership and national service.
Apostle Loue is married to Mrs Zoure E. Ariane Loue, a State Registered Nurse and former National Women’s Ministry Leader. They are blessed with a child and have also nurtured and impacted the lives of many others throughout their ministerial journey.
In his charge, Apostle Eric Nyamekye drew inspiration from the biblical transition of leadership from Moses to Joshua, reminding Apostle Loue that he had been entrusted with the responsibility of building on the foundation laid by his predecessor and leading the Church into its next phase.
He encouraged the new National Head and his leadership team to remain strong, courageous and committed to their divine mandate, assuring them that God, who had sustained the Church under previous leadership, would continue to be with them.
The Chairman expressed confidence that as the new leadership remained faithful to God and depended on Him for direction, God would work through them to make Himself famous again in Burkina Faso, bringing transformation to lives, communities and the nation through the Gospel.
