51 Teens Surrender To Christ During Free Vacation School

Fifty-one of the 143 teenagers enrolled in a free two-week vacation school organised by the Nsakina New Town District of The Church of Pentecost have surrendered their lives to Christ.

The teenagers responded to the call to accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour after a powerful word ministration on the second coming of Christ and the reality of Heaven by Pastor Acheampong during a worship session held as part of the classes.

The vacation school was organised from August 22 to September 2, 2022, at the True Believers’ Academy in Nsakina for Basic 6, JHS 1 and 2 students.

The four subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies and ICT) were handled by trained teachers – Pastor Samuel Acheampong (District Minister), Elder Emmanuel Adjei-Sakyi, Elder David Mensah, Deacon Augustus Mensah and Mr. Obed Acquah – all members of the Church.

At a brief closing ceremony, Pastor Samuel Acheampong entreated the students to intentionally work towards realising their God-ordained destinies.

This, he said, they would achieve by maintaining a strong relationship with God, putting Him first in all their endeavours, and associating with people who fear the Lord and are visionary.

He further encouraged them to take their academic studies seriously, and keep a clear picture of their future in mind.

Other teachers also took turns to advise them on how to lead their lives, after which prayers were offered for them.

The students expressed their gratitude to the Church for the initiative and to the teachers for the voluntary service rendered to them.
