The fourth edition of the annual conference of the Men’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost (PEMEM) dubbed Bezalel Conference, was officially opened today, Wednesday, September 25, 2019, by the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

The four-day event, which is being held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, is under the theme: The Nations My Inheritance, The Ends Of The Earth My Possession (Psalm 2:8).

Participating in the event are the Leaders of the Men’s Ministry at the various levels of the church across the nation. Also in attendance are a delegation from the Apostolic Church, Ghana and the Methodist Men’s Fellowship.

In his opening address, the Chairman said that the theme of the conference fits so well into the 5-year strategic vision of the church dubbed “Vision 2023” with the overarching theme: “Possessing the Nations: Equipping the Church to Transform Every Sphere of Society with Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God”.

He said that Vision 2023 centres on deploying and equipping members of the church to influence society with Kingdom values and principles.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye said that applying Kingdom principles and values such as hard work, faithfulness, honesty and integrity, among others at every sphere of society is what portrays Christians as Light of the World and Salt of the Earth.

“In the next 5 years, we foresee a refreshed church that equips and releases its members into ministry as agents of transformation wherever they may be,” he said.

The Chairman, therefore, charged the Christians to begin to move beyond Sunday services as an arena for serving God and to see every sphere of society as an opportunity for ministry.

He said that the theme for the conference further underlines the commitment of the men of the church to lead the charge in possessing the nations for Christ.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, therefore, urged the over two thousand participants gathered at the event to open themselves up to receive from the array of speakers and facilitators including Mr. Emmanuel Baba Mahama (former CEO of Vanguard Assurance Company), Prof. Stephen Adei (former Rector of GIMPA) and Elder Dr. Maxwell Opoku Afari (Deputy Governor, Bank of Ghana), among others, who would be ministering at the conference.

Also present at the conference are Prophet David Kankam Beditor (Executive Council Member and Ashaiman Area Head), Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu (PEMEM Director), Apostle Ekow Badu Wood (Kasoa Area Head), Apostle Samuel Antwi (New Tafo Area Head), Apostle Kenneth Bafoe Antwi (Atebubu Area Head), Prophet Ebenezer Appiah (Dansoman Area), former PEMEM Directors, Apostles Nene Ahorlu Ofoe Amegatcher (Rtd.) and Julius Asante-Ayeh (now Techiman Area Head) and Members of the National Executive Committee of PEMEM.
