2019 Annual Head Office Management And Staff Retreat Opens At PCC

Management and Staff of The Church of Pentecost General Headquarters have converged at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh for their annual retreat.

The 23rd Annual Retreat which is under the theme, “A Glorious Church To Possess The Nations” – Ephesians 3:21; 5:27, started on Wednesday and will end on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Opening the retreat on Wednesday, the Chairman of the church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, applauded the staff for their dedication to work which, he said, has contributed to the sterling growth of the church.

“The year under review has seen the church grow in many areas. The coherent, effective and efficient support provided by the staff is duly acknowledged and appreciated. We are not unaware of the many sacrifices you make on a daily basis to ensure that the vision God has given to leadership sees the light of day.

“We have done a lot, but there is still a lot to be done (Josh. 13:1). Continue to hold your hand up in the battle; continue to be reliable armour bearers as the church battles to possess the nations for our Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.

Touching on the essence of retreats, the Chairman said that a spiritual retreat of this nature is an integral part of their walk with God. He noted that a retreat is an ideal way to get closer to God and a moment to do some introspection with the intention of becoming a better Christian and one poised to become a useful vessel in the hands of God.

He encouraged them to make time and interact with each other, share ideas on how best they can all help to achieve the goals they have set for themselves as an organisation. “I, therefore, expect that we will not see this annual staff retreat as a routine activity but a moment to make conscious efforts to receive from God and from one another,” he stated.

This year’s retreat is being attended by Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) Travelling Secretaries, Children Pastors, Home and Urban Missions Coordinators and the Ministry to Persons with Disability Coordinator.

Present at the retreat were the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi; the International Missions Director (IMD), Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo; the Rector of Pentecost University (PUC), Apostle Daniel O. Walker, who is an Executive Council Member, Apostle David Tettey Tekper, Achimota Area Head and Executive Council Member, and Ministry Directors, among others.
