Your Sacrifices Would Not Go Unrewarded – Apostle Ankra-Badu

The Tema Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu, has assured Christians that their many sacrifices towards promoting the work of God would not go unrewarded.

“Every aspect of your life, especially the sacrifices you make as a Christian, would not go unrewarded, and they would not be taken away from God’s records,” he said, adding, “The Bible was careful to mention the names of all those who visited Jesus’s tomb early in the morning.”

Apostle Ankra-Badu was speaking at the climax of the Tema Zone Easter Convention held at Chemu School Park, from April 5-9, 2023, under the theme: “Crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

The event attracted thousands of people, including members and non-members from across the Area. Various speakers ministered on topics related to the theme.

Speaking on the topic, “The Resurrection of Christ: My Responsibility to The World,” Apostle Ankra-Badu urged Christians to take up the responsibility resulting from the death and resurrection of Jesus, as God himself took responsibility to ensure that all that he had planned concerning the salvation of man would be fulfilled through Christ Jesus, and Jesus, on his part, offered his life as a ransom for many.

Apostle Emmanuel read from Mark 16:1-8 and emphasized that Jesus’s resurrection taught believers that Christ was undeniably God, that God had accepted his atoning work of the cross, that humanity would get a righteous judgment, and that they would be raised from the dead.

Apostle Emmanuel Ankra-Badu highlighted six critical areas of responsibility expected of Christians as partakers of Christ’s death and resurrection: duty, diligence, excellence, perseverance, accountability, and initiative.

He noted that Christians with good character are responsible people who do not shy away from taking responsibility.

During the convention, many souls were won, and several others received Holy Ghost baptism and healings. God encouraged his church through testimonies and prophecies during worship sessions—the atmosphere at the various zonal centres charged due to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Those present at the convention included Mrs Rosina Ankra-Badu (wife of the Area Head), Apostle Matthew Larbi Wettey (Rtd.), Pastor Alex Nana Kwame Oppong (Area Secretary), Pastor Dan N. Asihene (Tema Zonal Chairman), Elder Paul Kuwornu (Area Deacon), and other Ministers and their wives in the Tema Zone.
