The Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has stated that the primary work of the Holy Spirit is to make Jesus Christ real in the lives of believers and empower them for godly living.
Delivering a presentation today [February 20, 2026] at the CME-Francophone conference in Lomé, he explained that the Holy Spirit dwells in believers as the resident custodian of their spiritual life, guiding, counselling, and directing them in accordance with God’s will.
He noted that when a person believes in the gospel and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit seals that individual as God’s possession, marking them as belonging to Him.
Apostle Bekoe further highlighted that walking in the Spirit requires faith, obedience, and sensitivity to His leading.
He urged believers to rely on the Spirit’s power to demonstrate moral excellence, spiritual gifts, and Christ-like character.
He concluded by encouraging Christians to remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s prompting and live daily under His guidance to fulfil the Church’s vision of transforming society.
