Tema Area Youth Ministry Hosts Special Family Fellowship For District Youth Leaders

The Tema Area Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has hosted a special fellowship and assessment meeting for District Youth Leaders, their spouses, and their children, an initiative described by many as a refreshing and first-of-its-kind experience within the Ministry.

The gathering, filled with warmth and anticipation, was organised to honour the vital role families play in supporting the work of district youth leaders. Speaking on behalf of the Tema Area Head, Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani, and his wife, Mama Mary, the Area Youth Leader, Pastor Dr De-Graft Issaka, emphasized the unity that marriage brings and the shared responsibility that comes with ministry. He acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by spouses and families, noting that the demands of leadership often affect the home.

He expressed heartfelt appreciation to the spouses for their unwavering support and invited them to share their thoughts and expectations. The interactive session created a rare opportunity for open dialogue, which many spouses warmly welcomed.

Mrs Esther Issaka, wife of the Area Leader, also addressed the gathering. She commended the District Youth Leaders, their spouses, and their children for their dedication to the youth ministry and encouraged them to continue their good work, assuring them that God rewards faithful service both on earth and in eternity.

The children present were not left out of the fellowship. The Area Leader engaged them warmly, prayed for them, and blessed them for their often-unnoticed contribution to the Ministry through their patience and support.

The event featured moments of bonding through indoor games such as charades and pick-and-act, which brought leaders, spouses, and children together in an atmosphere of joy and shared fellowship.

At the close of the gathering, many participants expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful initiative and highlighted the renewed sense of unity it fostered among them.

The event served as a reminder that effective ministry is strengthened when families are strengthened, and the Tema Area Youth Ministry hopes to build on this foundation in future engagements.

Twifo Praso Area Organises Maiden Teens Cooking Competition

The Twifo Praso Area of The Church of Pentecost has held its maiden Teens Cooking Competition, aimed at testing the culinary skills and knowledge of teenagers within the Area. The event took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

The competition, an initiative of the wife of the Area Head, Mrs. Doris Otu-Nyarko, was designed not only to assess the cooking abilities of the teens but also to promote good eating habits and table etiquette among young people.

According to Mrs. Otu-Nyarko, the programme was inspired by the need to educate and build confidence in teenagers as they learn practical life skills.

The event featured two main segments—a quiz on table etiquette and healthy eating practices, and a cooking contest where participants were tasked to prepare a meal based on the dietary needs of a hypothetical individual.

Addressing participants, the Area Head, Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko, encouraged the teens to take active roles in household responsibilities, especially in the kitchen.

He added that the initiative would help reinforce healthy eating habits among the youth.

At the end of the keenly contested competition, the Twifo Hemang District emerged winner, with Wassa Akyempim placing second, while Wamaso District took third position.
