Christ Alone Has Power To Save, Transform Lives – Apostle Edzii Davidson

Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, Sefwi Wiawso Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has proclaimed that salvation, transformation, and eternal life are found in Jesus Christ alone.

Preaching on the theme “We Have Seen Him, Christ the Saviour” from 1 John 4:14 at the ongoing “Tamale For Christ” crusade on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Jubilee Park, he stressed that the deepest need of humanity is a true Saviour, and that Jesus remains the only one qualified to redeem the world.

He affirmed that the Christian message stands on a firm testimony: the encounter with the Son of God, who is the Saviour of all.

Apostle Davidson explained that anyone who genuinely encounters Jesus experiences a complete change in destiny and lifestyle. He noted that Christ alone possesses the power to transform a person’s life in a way no human effort can achieve.

He said a life touched by Christ cannot remain the same because the Lord redirects destinies and brings individuals into alignment with God’s purpose. He emphasised that salvation through Christ rescues humanity from sin and eternal death.

To die without Christ, he noted, is to die in one’s sins, but to die in Christ is to enter eternity with forgiveness and hope. He therefore urged all gathered to accept Jesus as their Saviour, describing salvation as a gift freely offered to all who believe.

Speaking on transformation, he indicated that Jesus delivers individuals from ungodly and sinful lifestyles and releases their God-given potential.

According to him, a crooked life suppresses destiny, but an encounter with Christ empowers individuals to impact their generation in righteousness and godliness. On divine healing, he assured the congregation that Christ’s power extends to every form of sickness – whether congenital, hereditary, or long-standing – affirming that no infirmity is beyond the reach of Jesus’ healing touch.

Apostle Davidson highlighted the uniqueness of Christ’s resurrection as the foundation of the Christian faith, contrasting it with the graves of other religious leaders that still exist. He reminded the audience that the empty tomb is the eternal proof that Jesus is alive and continues to save and transform lives.

Concluding his message with 1 Peter 2:24, he declared that Christ bore humanity’s sins on the cross, giving Him the authority to forgive. He added that those who believe in Jesus receive power to live victoriously because the risen Lord imparts strength and new life to all who trust in Him.
