The Church Of Pentecost Won 432,470 Souls For Christ In 2024

Through sustained and intensified evangelism efforts, The Church of Pentecost led 432,470 individuals to Christ globally last year.

Out of this number, 351,981 new converts joined The Church of Pentecost, while 80,489 opted to fellowship with other Christian denominations—largely due to existing affiliations or geographical proximity. This milestone was achieved through a record 461,844 evangelistic outreaches, marking an 18.3% increase from the 390,545 outreaches conducted in 2023.

The figures were disclosed by Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church, during the 2024 State of the Church Address (SOCA) at the 47th General Council Meeting held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa-Fetteh.

Highlighting the fruit of these efforts, Apostle Nyamekye announced that 245,637 of the souls won—representing 69.8%—were baptised in water, leading to the establishment of new Assemblies and Districts across the globe.

“As of December 2024, the Church had 27,106 Assemblies and 3,183 Districts worldwide. This represents a 2.2% increase in Assemblies and a 4.3% rise in Districts compared to the previous year,” the Chairman reported, attributing the growth to the grace of God and the Church’s missional focus.

While noting that the Church has nearly saturated its territorial reach in Ghana, Apostle Nyamekye underscored the continued urgency of evangelism, both locally and internationally.

“These remarkable successes are a testament to our members’ unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel,” he stated.

Among the many inspiring stories shared, Apostle Nyamekye singled out Elder Godson Boateng of the Offinso Area, who led 1,024 souls—comprising 615 adults and 409 children—to Christ in 2024.

He also applauded the efforts of 12-year-old Miss Beatrice Dzotepe, a Sunday School child in the Avoeme District (Aflao Area), who led 12 children to the Lord during the November One-Member-One-Discipled-Soul initiative. All 12 new converts have been successfully integrated into the Church.

The State of the Church Address (SOCA) is an annual report presented by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, typically during the opening session of the General Council Meetings—the highest decision-making body of the Church. Modeled in part after the “State of the Nation” format, SOCA provides a comprehensive overview of the Church’s spiritual, administrative, and social interventions for the previous year.

This year’s General Council Meeting, which officially commenced on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, is being held under the theme: “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling” (Ephesians 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Galatians 1:24).
