Live The Resurrected Life In Christ Jesus – Apostle Dr Jimmy Markin To Christians

The Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Amos Jimmy Markin, has stated that the resurrected life in Christ Jesus is not merely an annual Easter celebration but rather a daily walk of transformation.

He made this statement during the recently held Easter Convention, organised by the Cape Coast, Aboom, and Nkanfoa districts in Cape Coast.

Focusing on unveiling the depth and significance of living the resurrected life in Christ, Apostle Dr Markin cited Romans 8:2 and Romans 8:9-11 and explained that accepting Christ ushers believers into a brand-new life, a life that was unavailable in the days of Adam but made accessible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This new life, he said, is imparted into the hearts of those who believe through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

The Coordinator of the Central Regional Coordinating Committee maintained that to truly understand the Christian faith, one must grasp the reality of the resurrected life. He noted that this life empowers believers to live above sin and walk in righteousness, as led by the Spirit of God.

Apostle Dr Markin further referenced Romans 1:3-4, highlighting that ‘Christ in you’ introduces a spiritual law of life that supersedes physical laws. He explained that those who have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20) no longer live under the dominion of the flesh but live a borrowed life, a life sourced from Christ. While physical laws such as the law of gravity can be challenged through scientific experimentation, spiritual laws remain immutable and are not to be broken, he said, warning that violating these laws leads to grave consequences.

Quoting Revelation 4:20, he noted that the Law of Death was activated in the Garden of Eden through Adam and Eve’s disobedience. In contrast, Jesus Christ, through His resurrection, activated the Law of the Spirit, which now governs the lives of those who believe in Him.

He urged believers to reject the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21) and instead bear the fruit of the Spirit as described in Galatians 5:22-24, evidence of a true resurrected life.

In his closing remarks, the immediate past Evangelism Director of the church stressed that anyone who is in Christ is not only hidden in Him but also in God the Father. Such a person, he indicated, lives a divinely borrowed life, protected from destruction.

He, therefore, encouraged believers to desire an intimate knowledge of God and the resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, and to live lives that reflect the worthiness of the resurrection.

Jesus Is Lord Of Both The Living And The Dead – Apostle Dr Dieudonne Nuekpe Asserts web

Jesus Is Lord Of Both The Living And The Dead – Apostle Dr Dieudonne Nuekpe Asserts

The La Area Head and Executive Council member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, has said that Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension prove that He is Lord over both the dead and the living (Matthew 28:5-7).

Apostle Nuekpe made this statement during a sermon at the Easter Convention, held from April 17-20, 2025, at zonal levels, namely Alajo, La, Accra Newtown, and Abelemkpe, among others. He spoke on the theme, ‘He is Risen, that I may Live a Life Worthy of My Calling.’

Apostle Dr Nuekpe, referencing Genesis 3:17, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23, stated that the greatest problem in the world is sin. He explained that sin entered by world through the disobedience and fall of Adam in the garden.

He indicated that God’s plan was for humanity to fully enjoy life and not just exist, saying, ‘He expected mankind to live lives of victory and glory, but due to disobedience, He pointed man to his former state, which is dust.’

Citing Hebrews 9:22, he said that after the fall of man, and until Jesus Christ came to die to save humanity, man sacrificed different kinds of animals to redeem their souls, but to no avail. That is why God came in the form of man to die for humanity (John 3:16), he added.

Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe stressed that when Jesus was pierced at the side, the mixture of water and blood that gushed out testified that He really died. Although the tomb where He was buried was sealed and guarded to make it impossible for Him to escape, the seal was broken on the third day as a fulfillment of prophecy (John 14:19), he said.

‘It is imperative to understand that the death of Jesus Christ was not accidental but was God’s plan to save the world,’ he said, adding, ‘He even saved lives while He hung between two sinners. Though Jesus died for all, not all are saved, but those who receive Him as their Lord and personal Saviour.’ (Revelation 22:17)

He hinted that because Jesus does not want any excuses, He proclaimed the gospel in the grave as proof that He is Lord of both the living and the dead (1 Peter 3:18-19).

Concluding his message, Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe encouraged all and sundry to truly accept Jesus into their lives and continue to remain in Him in order to live lives worthy of their calling.

In attendance at the various sessions were former Ambassador of Ghana to South Korea, Her Excellency Dufie Agyarko-Kusi; former National Women’s Leader of South Korea, Mrs Joan Asamoah; and Mrs Juanita Nuekpe (wife of the Area Head), among others.

The Resurrection Power Signifies Eternal Life In The Ark – Apostle Fianko-Larbi Observes

The Resident Minister for Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC)-Sakumono in the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Seth Fianko-Larbi, has proclaimed that the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ signifies eternal life in the Ark above the raging floods.

He drew a parallel between Christ and Noah’s Ark in Genesis chapters 7 and 8, saying, ‘As the flood came during Noah’s time, Jesus Christ, who is with you and in you, will protect you like those who were saved in Noah’s ark.’

‘Whatever comes your way as a flood, God is going to use it for your good. There is a rising in every aspect of your life; we are in the ark, and the ark is Christ,’ he said, while urging Christians to believe in the resurrected Christ.

Apostle Fianko-Larbi shared these insights during the climax of this year’s Easter convention held by the PIWCs and Worship Centres in the Teshie-Nungua Area at the GHACEM Park, Sakumono, on Sunday, April 20th, 2025. The theme for the convention was, ‘The Crucified Christ is Alive,’ based on Acts 3:15 and Ephesians 4:1.

In his sermon titled, ‘Walking Daily in the Victorious Power of the Redemption,’ Apostle Fianko-Larbi read scriptures from Romans 8:19, Hebrews 2:14-16, Ephesians 1:9, among others, explaining that Christians live from a position of victory because of the power of Christ’s blood.

‘We cannot be limited by distance, time, and matter; it is the realm of Grace,’ he stated, adding, ‘If God gives you something in the resurrection, nothing can destroy it.’

‘In our journey towards life, one can encounter depression, death, depreciation, distress, and disappointments. However, the risen Christ, who rose from death, is the truth. He is the author of life, the imperishable seed, and nothing in creation can overcome the author of life and His children,’ he emphasized.

According to Apostle Fianko-Larbi, there are two witnesses to the resurrection account. The first is historical data or facts from multiple people, attestation from enemies, eyewitness testimonies, the principle of embracement, and the consistencies in oral accounts of the resurrection.

‘The second witness is you and I, the Christians. We the believers who have tried and tested the resurrection power in our daily lives,’ he added.

Apostle Fianko-Larbi also stated that Jesus died by crucifixion, a fact attested by numerous historians, including His disciples. The final evidence of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, he disclosed, is the empty tomb and the testimony of the women who visited His tomb.

Apostle Fianko-Larbi further stated, ‘Christians are citizens of heaven, and as believers, we are partakers of the resurrection, with our souls seated in heaven’ (Ephesians 2:6).

The service was interspersed with powerful praise and worship, as well as testimonies of the healing power of the risen Christ. The mass choir ministered through soul-inspiring songs.

THE UNSUNG HEROES IN OUR CONVENTIONS web

The Unsung Heroes In Our Conventions

“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us…” – Romans 12:5–6 (NIV)

On the evening of Sunday, having successfully brought the 2025 Easter Convention to a close to the glory of God, I sat down to reflect on the entire journey—from the pre-convention preparations, through the start, to the final day when the curtain was drawn down. And these thoughts ran through my mind.

Just as the Apostle Paul puts it in the twelfth chapter of his epistle to the church in Rome, specifically verses 5 and 6, I was reminded of the various gifts and ministries that were at work during this year’s convention. I stood in awe of God and in appreciation of all the people who operated in these ministries.

Before the convention commenced, all the necessary arrangements were made—from cleaning and tidying up the auditorium and its surroundings, to erecting canopies, conducting sound checks, and more. Then at the start of the convention, after prayers had been offered and the congregation had been led in a powerful time of worship, I took the microphone and preached. This routine of prayer, choruses, worship, preaching, and altar call continued until the close of the convention on the Sunday.

My reflections led me to the conclusion that in the church, there are various ministries, which I categorise into two: the Pulpit Ministry and the Outside-the-Pulpit Ministry, often referred to as the Ministry of Helps.

THE PULPIT MINISTRY

I would also describe this as the Stage Ministry. Those who serve in this ministry are the ones always seen on stage, leading the congregation and guiding them through each phase of the service. They are often the ones who appear well-dressed and polished, as they are in the full view of the people.

Those who fill this ministry are usually eloquent, confident speakers, and skilled in their respective roles. Because of their visibility and direct interaction with the congregation, they tend to receive the most recognition and applause. Examples of those in the pulpit ministry include music ministers and instrumentalists, worship leaders, preachers, and the like. They are often celebrated as the “heroes” of our services and conventions. At the close of services, people often flock to them for handshakes or photo opportunities.

But there is also another class of people who are not given as much recognition—or in some cases, none at all. These are the ones who serve in what I call the Outside-the-Pulpit Ministry.

THE OUTSIDE-THE-PULPIT MINISTRY

As the name implies, this group functions outside the pulpit and offstage. Interestingly, in the course of their work, they sometimes appear untidy or less presentable than those on stage. They are often not eloquent or polished public speakers—though, when given the opportunity, some may very well be—but the roles they perform do not require such attributes.

Because they are not directly in touch with the congregation, they are often not well known and therefore receive little or no appreciation. However, they are like the foundation of a building—hidden from view but absolutely essential. A building may look neat, classy and structurally impressive, but it is the unseen foundation that sustains it. People admire the structure and pose for pictures beside it, yet the foundation goes unnoticed. And so it is with these ministers.

Examples of those who fill this ministry include:

  • the sanitation team who ensure that the washrooms and the entire environment are clean and presentable,
  • those who erect canopies and build platforms,
  • the sound engineer, often hidden in a corner booth,
  • those who count the offering and keep financial records,
  • and many others who work quietly in the background.

They may not be seen, but without them, where would the preacher stand to deliver the sermon, or the music minister sing those powerful songs?

Even in the ministry of Apostle Paul, we find individuals—some of them women—who played significant roles behind the scenes to support the success of the ministry. They are not necessarily well-known figures in Christian history, but their contribution was foundational.

Apostle Paul often took time to appreciate such individuals. In Romans 16:1–2, he wrote:

“I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchreae… She has been a benefactor of many people, including me.”

Phoebe is not a household name; she is seldom mentioned in sermons. Yet, she was a wealthy and influential woman who supported Paul and others materially. It is also widely accepted that she personally delivered Paul’s letter to the Roman church—a task of high trust and importance.

The same can be said of Priscilla and Aquila, Paul’s close friends and ministry partners. In Romans 16:3–5a, Paul writes:

“Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. Greet also the church that meets at their house.”

Though they may not have occupied the stage, their ministry was foundational. They hosted churches in their home and worked closely with Paul to support the early Christian movement. Paul’s commendation of them is a reminder that what happens offstage can be just as vital as what happens in the spotlight.

I believe the Church today must learn from the Apostle Paul and begin to intentionally acknowledge and honour those who serve in the Outside-the-Pulpit Ministry.

One thing that struck me most happened at the close of this year’s Easter Convention. After everyone—including myself, the District Minister—had gone home, I returned to the convention grounds around 6 p.m. There, I saw these dedicated individuals still working: restoring order, sweeping, packing up equipment, and ensuring that plastic chairs borrowed from various local assemblies were returned.

Are these not the unsung heroes of our conventions? I believe they are—and they truly deserve our appreciation and recognition.

In conclusion, I would like to say to all who serve faithfully in the Ministry of Helps: you are deeply appreciated, and you hold a significant place in our hearts and in the work of the Kingdom. Do not allow the seeming lack of visibility or applause to discourage you. Your work may not be seen by men, but it is certainly seen and rewarded by God.

Do not grow weary or disheartened. Keep at your post with joy, knowing that your labour is not in vain. The Lord, who sees in secret, will reward you openly. You are part of the divine machinery that makes ministry impactful and life-transforming.

Faithful is He who has called you—and He will do it.

I leave you with this encouragement from 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV):

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”

To all the unsung heroes—thank you, and may the Lord richly bless you.

Twifo Praso Area Concludes 2025 Easter Convention With 141 New Souls

The Twifo Praso Area of The Church of Pentecost has concluded its 2025 Easter Convention in a splendid manner, winning a total of 141 souls, out of which 107 were baptised in water.

The convention, which was held under the theme, ‘That I May Know Him And The Power Of His Resurrection’ (Philippians 3:10), took place at Twifo Praso D/A B & C Basic School Park, from Wednesday, April 16 to Sunday, April 20, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Area Head, Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko.

Climaxing the convention was the ordination of 86 new officers of the church, comprising 20 elders, 23 deacons, and 43 deaconesses.

During the event, 49 members received the Holy Spirit baptism, while 78 received divine healing. The convention was attended by 7,776 members, comprising 1,408 men, 4,758 women, and 1,610 children.

Preaching the sermon to climax the convention on Sunday, Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko spoke on the topic, ‘Unleashed With The Power of The Resurrection to Transform Your World’ (Philippians 3:10, Ephesians 1:18-23, Romans 8:11). He explained that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Satan has been disarmed of his power; death is no longer a terror to the children of God, and every written code against the children of God has been canceled, thereby ushering humanity into the very presence of God.

He stated that although the stone, tomb, Pilate’s seal, soldiers, Satan, and the high priests made every effort to prevent Jesus from His resurrection, the exceedingly great and mighty power of God conquered all those obstacles and brought Him back to life. He challenged Christians to build their hope on the power that raised Jesus from the dead rather than on anything material since that power is still at work.

‘The grave is a place of darkness, loneliness, helplessness, and loss of potential, but God did not allow His Son to suffer all these. In the same way, He will never abandon you if you remain faithful to Him. You have been unleashed with the power of the resurrection to transform your world, so do not let anything terrify you,’ he emphasised.

Some of the main speakers at the convention were Pastor Paul Mensah (Area Secretary and Wassa Ateiku District Minister), Pastor Frank Larbi (Area Evangelism Ministry Leader and Twifo Praso District Minister), and Pastor Jonathan Oman Nartey (Area Children’s Ministry Leader and Wassa Akyempim District Minister), among others.

Present at the programme were Mrs Doris Otu-Nyarko (Wife of the Area Head), Pastor Solomon Kofi Edusah (retd) and his wife Martha, Mr Daniel Kojo Nyame (Managing Director of Twifo Oil Palm Plantations Ltd.), and the pastors in the Area and their spouses, among other dignitaries.

Christians Must Maintain A Distinct Identity — Prophet Tetteh Doku

Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, the New Tafo Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to uphold a clear and distinct spiritual identity, avoiding the blurring of lines between their faith and secular influences.

“Our identity must be clear-cut and recognisable in how we live, speak, dress, and interact with the world around us,” he stressed.

Speaking on the topic, “Identity of the New Creation” during the climax of the New Tafo Zone Easter Convention on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the New Tafo M/A Division School Park, he urged believers to fully embrace their new life in Christ as a testimony to God’s transformative power.

Referencing scripture such as John 12:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Ephesians 4:22-34, Prophet Tetteh Doku highlighted the importance of believers living as true children of God by forsaking their former ways and aligning with God’s will. He noted that every new creation undergoes the experience of being born again—a process in which the Holy Spirit revitalises the believer’s dead spirit, granting them deeper understanding and insight into God’s Word.

The New Tafo Area Head also emphasisepd that being a new creation involves embodying God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4, Galatians 2:20), which is characterised by righteousness, holiness, love, humility, patience, and generosity.

In conclusion, Prophet Tetteh Doku urged believers to walk in great grace and power, demonstrating God’s greatness through signs and miracles, while cautioning them against being overly influenced by material wealth.

“Signs and miracles must follow you because God’s power in you is great,” he declared.

The New Tafo Zone, comprising five districts — New Tafo, Ashtown, Yennyawoso, Sepe-Buokrom, and Buokrom Estate, drew a total of over 7000 members at the conclusion of the event.

The Blood of Jesus Is A Powerful Defensive And Offensive Weapon For Believers — Pastor Amankwaatia pn

The Blood of Jesus Is A Powerful Defensive And Offensive Weapon For Believers — Pastor Amankwaatia

Pastor Benjamin Kwaku Amankwaatia, the Buokrom Estate District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, has asserted that the blood of Jesus provides both protection and empowerment in the life of a believer, serving as a means of defense against spiritual harm and a tool to achieve victory in spiritual warfare.

“The blood of Jesus is both a defensive and offensive weapon for believers,” he declared.

Speaking at the New Tafo Zone Easter Convention on Good Friday morning, April 18, 2025, at the New Tafo M/A Division School Park in the New Tafo Area, under the theme, “Jesus Christ — The Lamb of God Who Takes Away the Sin of the World,” based on John 1:29, Hebrews 1:3, and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, he focused on two key concepts: “Lamb and Sin.”

Pastor Amankwaatia explained that the term ‘lamb,’ derived from the original Greek word “arnion,” signifies ‘the exalted one.’ He emphasised that Jesus, referred to as ‘the Lamb of God,’ is gentle, compassionate, loving, and innocent— qualities that led Him to suffer willingly and die to take away the sins of the world. This, he contrasted with Satan, who embodies cruelty, wickedness, and destruction.

On the concept of ‘sin,’ he elaborated that it is translated from the Greek term “hamartia,” which means ‘missing the mark,’ ‘failure,’ ‘taking a wrong course,’ ‘wrongdoing,’ or guilt.’

Referencing John 8:34-35, James 1:15, and Romans 5:12, Pastor Amankwaatia highlighted the causes and devastating effects of sin, which necessitated atonement. He compared the Old Testament’s cumbersome process of atonement, involving repeated animal sacrifices, with Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice, which addressed sin once and for all.

“Jesus is the ultimate and perfect sacrifice for humanity,” he stated emphatically.

Pastor Amankwaatia also underscored the transformative power of Jesus’ blood, explaining that it reconciles believers to God, grants them peace with Him, and equips them to overcome the devil and his schemes, as stated in Revelation 12:10-11.

The Resurrection Historical Fact or Theological Fiction web

“The Resurrection: Historical Fact or Theological Fiction?”

Elder Dr Bismark Owusu-Sekyere Adu

Coordinator for Research and Grants, Pentecost University

Introduction

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of Christian faith. The declaration “He is risen!” (Matthew 28:6) is not merely a historical statement but a theological reality that has transformed the world. The resurrection validates Jesus’ claims, fulfills biblical prophecy, and offers hope to all who believe. This article explores the resurrection through biblical and academic perspectives, emphasizing its significance for faith, theology, and human destiny.

The Biblical Evidence for the Resurrection

The resurrection is central to the New Testament narrative. All four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—record the event with varying details but a consistent core message: Jesus rose from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-18). Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, affirms this reality, stating that Jesus “was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:4, NIV).

The resurrection fulfills Old Testament prophecies, such as Psalm 16:10, where David declares, “You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.” This prophecy finds its fulfillment in Jesus, as Peter explains in Acts 2:25-31. Isaiah 53:10-11 also foreshadows the Messiah’s victory over death, highlighting God’s plan for salvation.

Theological Significance of the Resurrection

The resurrection holds immense theological significance. First, it confirms Jesus’ divinity. Romans 1:4 states that Jesus “was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead.” The resurrection proves that Jesus was not merely a prophet or teacher but the divine Son of God.

Second, the resurrection guarantees believers’ justification. Paul declares in Romans 4:25 that Jesus “was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” The resurrection signifies that Christ’s atoning sacrifice was accepted by God, ensuring salvation for those who believe (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Third, the resurrection assures believers of their future resurrection. Paul emphasizes this in 1 Corinthians 15:20-22, stating that Christ is the “first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.” Just as Christ rose, so will all who belong to Him. This eschatological hope is foundational to Christian faith and provides assurance beyond this earthly life.

Historical and Academic Perspectives on the Resurrection

The resurrection is not merely a matter of faith; it has been a subject of scholarly investigation. N.T. Wright (2003), a leading New Testament scholar, argues in The Resurrection of the Son of God that the resurrection is the best explanation for the rapid growth of early Christianity. Wright points out that Jewish and Greco-Roman concepts of resurrection were different from the Christian claim that Jesus physically rose from the dead, making the disciples’ testimony unique and credible.

Similarly, Gary Habermas and Michael Licona (2004), in The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus present the “Minimal Facts” approach, which examines widely accepted historical facts, such as Jesus’ crucifixion, the empty tomb, the post-resurrection appearances, and the transformation of the disciples. These facts are acknowledged by most scholars, both Christian and secular, and collectively support the reality of the resurrection.

Critics, such as Bart Ehrman, challenge the resurrection’s historical reliability, proposing alternative theories like hallucinations or legendary development. However, the consistency of eyewitness testimony, the willingness of disciples to die for their belief, and the lack of a competing narrative from first-century Jewish or Roman sources strengthen the case for the resurrection.

The Transformational Power of the Resurrection

The resurrection has not only theological and historical significance but also a transformative impact on individuals and societies. The early church’s bold proclamation of the resurrection led to the rapid spread of Christianity despite persecution (Acts 4:33). The message of a risen Christ gave hope to oppressed people throughout history, from the Roman Empire to modern-day believers facing persecution.

Resurrection also empowers believers to live victorious lives. Paul exhorts in Philippians 3:10-11, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings.” This resurrection power enables believers to overcome sin, endure suffering, and live with eternal purpose.

Conclusion

The declaration “He is risen!” is more than a religious phrase, it is a life-changing reality. The resurrection of Jesus Christ affirms His divinity, secures our salvation, and provides hope for eternal life. Both biblical testimony and academic scholarship reinforce its historicity and significance. For Christians, the resurrection is the ultimate victory over sin, death, and despair. As we celebrate this truth, may we live in the power of Christ’s resurrection, boldly proclaiming that He is indeed risen!

The Resurrection Is The Cornerstone Of Our Faith – Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah-Agyeman web

The Resurrection Is The Cornerstone Of Our Faith – Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah-Agyeman

The Teshie-Nungua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah-Agyeman, has reiterated that the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

‘This affirms that death has been defeated and that eternal life is available to all who believe,’ he said.

Apostle Nkrumah-Agyeman made this statement on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at PIWC–Sakumono auditorium during the English Zone Easter convention of the Pentecost International Worship Centres and the Worship Centres in the area.

According to Apostle Nkrumah-Agyeman, Christ’s crucifixion was not surrounded by religious grandeur or ceremony; instead, it occurred in the most humiliating and desolate circumstances.

‘Our God is alive, and this reveals a poignant truth about the nature of Christian life and what truly matters in the Christian journey,’ he said.

Speaking on the theme for the convention, ‘The Crucified Christ is Alive,’ and referencing scriptures from Acts 3:15 and Revelation 19:11, Apostle Nkrumah-Agyeman recounted the story from Acts 3:15 of the paralytic man at the Beautiful Gate of the temple for 40 years.

He prayed for the congregation to receive the Beautiful Gate experience, saying, ‘Whatever is troubling you, receive the Beautiful Gate experience. Whatever God has said about you will surely be established in the mighty name of Jesus.”

Touching on the lessons gleaned from the death of Jesus Christ, Apostle Nkrumah-Agyeman said the crucifixion is actually the pathway to life and victory. He also stated that God’s ways and purposes often subvert human expectations, transforming pain and death into hope and life.

‘Salvation is accessible to all, including the marginalised and sinners, represented by the thieves on the cross. No one is beyond redemption,” he added.

He encouraged the congregation to give their all in serving the Lord, emphasising the transient nature of life.

‘We will leave everything behind when we die. In the end, we cannot take our wealth, status, or achievements with us; we will leave it all behind,’ he said.

He further stated that Jesus Christ was not crucified in a cathedral between two candles but on a cross between two thieves. This means He identified with human beings, choosing to suffer shame so that humanity can enjoy the blessings from heaven.

He stated: ‘Jesus bears our pains, sorrows, and agony, and He always identifies with our struggles in life,’ he said.

He cautioned the Christians to have a good heart devoid of jealousy, revenge, hate, and other social vices, and to embrace love, kindness, and the virtues that make one a good Christian.
