The Sawla Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, commissioned a three-unit classroom block for the Pentecost Preparatory School, Tuna (PPS-Tuna).
The building project was funded by the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) through its “Enhancing Quality Education” programme. The Enhancing Quality Education initiative, among other things, seeks to contribute towards enhanced access to improved quality education in Ghana, especially in deprived communities.
Speaking at the commissioning service, the Area Head was very grateful to the leadership of the Church and PENTSOS for their unrelenting efforts in seeing to it that the school is adequately supported to provide quality education for members of the community. He also thanked the PENTSOS directorate for donating some mono desks to the school.
Apostle Ohemeng-Kwakye urged the pupils to fear the Lord and to be obedient to Him so that He would grant them wisdom and knowledge to excel in their academics. He also advised them to study hard so that they would become productive members of society in future.
On her part, the headmistress expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty and the Church for giving the Tuna Pentecost Preparatory School, which has an enrollment of over 248 pupils, the needed facelift.
Present at the event were the pastorate of the Tuna Zone in the Area as well as the Staff of the school.
