The Kete Krachi Area Head, Pastor Charles K. Fosu, has charged ministers and their spouses to actively demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit through the preaching of the Gospel. He made this call during a three-day Pre-Easter Retreat for Ministers and Wives held from March 24 to 26, 2026, at Krachikrom Central.
The retreat, marked by prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal, opened with a strong message on the theme: “The Man of God Unleashed to Demonstrate the Power of the Holy Spirit Through the Gospel.” Pastor Fosu stressed that effective ministry requires intentional preparation, grounded in prayer and disciplined spiritual living.
Quoting James McKeown, founder of The Church of Pentecost, he reiterated that “the work is prayer and prayer is the work,” cautioning that a prayerless ministry lacks power. He urged participants to prioritise consistent fellowship with God as the foundation for impactful ministry.
Highlighting the identity of a true “Man of God,” Pastor Fosu distinguished between holding a ministerial office and living a life marked by spiritual depth and integrity. He noted that a genuine Man of God is characterised by a close walk with God, godly character, trustworthiness, and the ability to clearly communicate God’s message.
Expounding further, he called on ministers to move beyond preaching to demonstrating the power of the Gospel, referencing biblical accounts to emphasise that the message of Christ must be accompanied by visible manifestations of God’s power. He added that ministry is inherently spiritual and must be empowered by the Holy Spirit to produce lasting results.
Pastor Fosu also outlined practical ways to demonstrate this power, including exercising strong faith in God’s Word and making bold, Spirit-led declarations.
The retreat concluded with participants expressing renewed commitment to deeper prayer lives and impactful ministry. It is expected that the impartation received will translate into strengthened ministries and a visible demonstration of God’s power across the Kete Krachi Area.
