‘Direction 2022,’ a three-day prayer and fasting programme organised by the Obuasi Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle William Boakye Agyarko, has ended.

The programme which was held under the theme: “It is not in the hands of man on how to direct his feet” (Jeremiah 10:23), took place from January 3rd to 5th 2022.

Apostle William Boakye Agyarko in his keynote address said that it is the Lord who directs the steps of the righteous and not by their own strength. He said that Prophet Jeremiah prayed to God for solutions to happenings among the Israelites due to their worship of lesser gods such as Baal.

He advised members to refrain from making blasphemous utterances that dare God when they encountered difficulties beyond their control. He explained that God cautioned the Israelites anytime they sought protection outside Him and could not receive it, yet Jeremiah interceded for God’s mercy upon the nation.

He indicated that God is available to protect His children from the traps of the enemy if only they allowed Him to lead them and focus solely on Him.

“Satan is like a hunter who would always set a trap but God would always deliver His people to reach their final destination,” he said.

He added: “If only you walk in the steps of the Lord Jesus Christ, He will be your anchor when the storms arise.”

Apostle William Boakye Agyarko charged the church to seek divine directions from God anytime they make major decisions in their lives.

The guest speaker, Apostle John Appiah Aidoo (Abuakwa Area Head), in his submission, entreated the members to trust in God to bless and deliver them from the plans of enemies.

Apostle Appiah Aidoo emphasized that it is the strength of the Lord that brings victory to the children of God.
