The Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Anthony Eghan Kwesi Ekuban, has begun this year’s Lay Leadership Training School with a clarion call on Christians to be good ambassadors of Christ in their various communities.
The 5-day leadership training programme which began on Monday, August 13, 2018, is being held in 11 zonal centres in the Area.
The training is designed to equip church leaders to acquire practical insights, develop the opportunity for deeper reflection and action in the light of the challenges of the contemporary society.
The Lay Leaders Training School is an integral and key component of the Vision 2018 document of the church. This year’s training school which will end on Friday, August 17, deals with lessons on environmental pollution, district assembly bye-laws, regulations, principles and personal responsibility.
Other topics to be treated at the advanced level include, “Baptism, Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit,” “Creation Care,” “Effective Assimilation Structures,” and “Mentoring and Coaching the Next Generation.”
The course module is structured to comprise foundation level, also known as pre-ordination course and the advanced level, which is designed for ordained officers. Participants would be issued with certificates after the end of the training programme. A total of about 3,200 participants are expected to attend the training programme in the Area.
