The Director of Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM), Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu, has called on all men in The Church of Pentecost to demonstrate real love to their wives during the upcoming Father’s Day celebration.
The PEMEM Director has therefore urged men in the Church to relieve their wives in the home by doing all the household chores on the Saturday preceding the Day, which falls on Sunday, June 17.
He charged husbands to personally go to the market to buy foodstuffs to cook for their wives and family, sweep the house, wash, and perform all other chores in the house while their wives take a full day’s rest.
On the Sunday which marks the Day, the Director entreated men in the Church to dress in their traditional attire to church.
Apostle Ankra-Badu made the call when addressing members of the Men’s and Women’s Ministries from Assin Akropong District in the Assin Foso Area during an excursion to the Headquarters at La, Accra last Thursday, May 31, 2018.
The visit also took them to the Women’s Ministry Directorate, where they were addressed by the Director, Mrs. Grace Lucy Yeboah-Asuama, who advised local Women’s Ministry leaders to embark on innovative programmes to benefit all women in the Church and also make the ministry more attractive to young ladies.
At the Office of the General Secretary, they were addressed by an Administrative Secretary to the General Secretary, Pastor Abraham Addae Agyemang, while the Principal Executive Assistant to the International Missions Director (IMD), Mrs. Victoria Kumi Woode, addressed them at the Missions Office.
Their tour of the Head Office ended at Pent TV.
The 40-member team was led by the wife of the District Pastor, Mrs. Okwan; the District Women’s Leader, Deaconess Gladys Boadu; the District PEMEM Leader, Elder J. K. Amakye and Elder M. K. Boadu.
