The Ho Area of The Church of Pentecost has launched the Ewe version of the 2018 Theme Song of the Church.
The event, which took place on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Ho Dome Central church was attended by the Ho Area Pastorate and their wives, a number of Chorus Leaders, song lovers and some choir groups from other para churches in the Ho Municipality.
Speaking at the occasion, the Ho Area Head, Apostle Moses Kwame Ahiakor, said music plays a vital role in the worship of the Church. “We can never do away with songs in our service. We sing during prayers, worship and other activities during church service. In fact, 70% of our worship is made up of songs,” he emphasized.
Quoting from 2 Kings 3: 14-17, Apostle Ahiakor asserted that the hand of the Lord comes upon us during song ministrations as it happened to the Prophet Elisha. He, therefore, encouraged all and sundry to endeavour to own a copy of the song.
The 2018 Theme Song was translated into the Ewe Language by Elder Samuel Agbenyo and was sang by the Ho Area Mass Choir led by Pastor Selasi Amedeka, the Ho Area Music Ministry Leader.
