Ten districts in the Gbawe Zone of the Odorkor Area of The Church of Pentecost converged at the Gbawe Cluster of Schools for this year’s celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The 2018 Easter convention in the Area was under the theme, “Remain In Christ and His Resurrection Power.”
The morning session of the third day (Saturday, March 31) of the convention was graced by renowned gospel singer, Jak Alolome, who led the entire congregation through a solemn time of worship and a powerful praises. The ministers, as well as the congregation, could not hide their joy as they sang and danced unto the Lord.
In a sermon, the District Minister of the Weija District, Pastor Emmanuel Nii Abeo Tetteh, centred his message on Prophet Zechariah’s prophecy of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaking on the topic, “Behold the Man” with his main text from Zechariah 6:12-13, Pastor Tetteh explained that Jesus Christ is the branch from God who is building His church.
He added that Christ has clothed His church with the cloth of salvation and righteousness and will reign forever. He further admonished believers to avail themselves to be used as ‘building materials’ by Christ for the progress of His church.
